Live game, decent sized pot, I shoved all in on a bluff. After a short tank, villain in 9 seat calls. I said "chips" semi loud to get a chip runner as I rolled my cards over. Villain thought I said "trips" and slid his cards into the muck next to his hand. Dealer called floor and floor said he can't pull cards out of the muck so I win the pot. What do you do? Spoiler I had dealer split the pot as if hand never happened. Dude was still mad and said I ran an angle even though everyone else heard me say chips and saw me reach into my pocket for cash. Now I wish I'd told him tough shit.

Wtf does chip runner mean? In my day, the person called showed their cards and the other showed theirs or mucked.
Chip runner is the person that brings you chips. It's so the dealer doesn't have to slow down between hands. It's people standing around with racks of chips and they bring them to you when you call for chips.
