I think they should let them do a sign up for pairs. They get a pair in their size with no box and their employee id number on the insole or sharpied on the bottom of the sole. And they dont come in until a week or two after release. Otherwise take your chances with the shitty SNKRS app like everyone else.
Na most companies do some type of employee benefit program. Like my company will buy .5% on our interest rate (that's a lot lol) if we do a loan with them and waive all costs. Maybe give them like 3 coupons to redeem for pairs or something like that. I mean they literally work for the company that makes them. I don't even cars if they sell them, it's an employee benefit.
I know youre gonna say it wouldnt make a difference in your feelings on it but im gonna say if hadnt had two pairs set aside for you yesterday you would feel a little different about someone taking their guaranteed access to something and reselling it. Like i said, let them sign up for a pair if they want them. But atleast make it as hard as possible to resell them.
Idk maybe but I've missed on tons of shoes and I felt the same way then. I guess it depends on the employee. A VP making $300k a vs a store employee making $15 an hour changes my opinion.
Same. Though the role doesn't change my mind. My SIL is a higher level employee at Nike and my brother is a sneakerhead and gets what he can from the EE store just to wear. He'll get a limited drop every now and then for my daughter, but I don't even ask them to hook me up. If there's something I really want that I take an L on, I can buy resale.
I was referring to the resell part. Both should get pairs, but the VP doesn't need the money, the store level employee could probably use it.
Nike employees shouldn’t get every release but they should get some sort of perk. Maybe it’s an employee only SNKRS release and you get one hit a year for limited releases. that said I deserve a pair before they do
