And yea idk the deal but selling to Asian markets is the jam apparently. That's a huge reason that prices jumped the last few years. I guess they don't have access over there? Idk but the guys that buy bulk gr's from boutiques sell them all overseas at above retail.

 

Novice Question -

Foot Locker is running a sale on these UB color ways to $99-119 and with a current $20 off code they are between $79-99. Are these just super unpopular color ways? Is it not that rare to find UBs at this price point if you're not picky about the color way? I've been wanting to try a pair of these finally and these seem like a good deal but just wanted to make sure these aren't a terrible color way or there's better deals out there.

As someone who runs in Ultraboosts, I couldn’t be happier about this.

 

Any knowledge yet on the color changing suede on the N7 90 yet? Local reseller shop told me they’ll pay 180 for my pair or give 200 towards trade. I’ll trade them if I don’t like them.

 

A resell shop paying a premium for pairs that sit at retail won't be around long.

 

They’re higher on every pair than stockx is. Seem to sell the hell out of stuff too

 

actual sales on stockx have averaged right at $250 in my size. Paying that at the resell store without fees would be cheaper than stockx

 

I'm curious what the Dior AJ1 resell ends up looking like. I mean a $2k retail is wild but they'll still probably be raffle only. The high price tag is going to cut out all of the 13 yr old looking for a quick flip so all pairs will end up with people that want to wear them or professional resellers that will hold out for a huge payday.

Thanks for the non-snarky answer, and makes sense. I've been pretty committed to the Nike Pegasus line for running but have wanted to check out the UB for a while. Wouldn't plan on re-selling, so if ~$100 is the lowest they really get, might just buy a pair.

 

Daniel Ocean gave a solid answer. UB were one of the hottest styles for a few years. Most colorways sold out pretty quick bc most had resell value. UB collabs were going for crazy prices. Over time, the interest went down and they started making more so that combination means pairs hit discount. Same thing happened with Roshes. It works out well for people that are big fans of the shoe bc now they can get them for cheap. They could become popular again down the road. Look at the Nike Dunks. A year ago they weren't cool. Now every colorway sells out in seconds and goes for $200 over retail on the resell market. Dunk collabs go for stupid money. If you like the UB look, give them a run while they are cheap.

 

Oh forgot to post that I commissioned a custom with Dank last night. Really want a Mars Yard AM1 and he hasn't done one yet so we're dong one. He's as good as it gets with customs so I'm excited to see what he does.

I’m a huge UB fan and have used them for running and working out since the 2.0’s. I still wear them to run in and I love them and have no problems. I was looking at the Nike Pegasus trail 2’s because the park I run in is half paved trail and half unpacked and thought I’d try a more trail shoe. I’ll still always have a pair of UB to run in as well though.

It's like these two had a baby. Still skeptical these were even given out. I've never seen a pair listed for sale. I did laugh that they were so cheaply made that they didn't even get their own tongue tags, just gr tags that were painted over.

 

But I still want them very bad

 

Big fan of the speckled soles. Speaking of I love my 90’s because they are so damn thick I’m a solid 6’3.5 In Them lol.

 

New ones aren't that thick lol. Much more comfortable though. And yea the specked sole can be cool. I have this pair somewhere.

 

I bought these for $55 today because running on shitty uneven sidewalks and streets has been killing my feet. I've never had a trail running shoe before but I figured for $55 I would give it a shot.

speckling is a really easy customization step btw
just tape shit up, get paint on a toothbrush, rub your finger over the bristles.

 

What paint would you use? Might have to do that to these.

Local shop called and said they got a pair of the Auto Max Infrared in and they are my size so they wanted me to know. Originally I passed but man I've been wanting to play with those things. Called my wife and asked her if she could run down there to scoop those and the Viotech Air Trainers. Can't wait for the "THEY WERE $400!?!?!" phone call I get in an hour. Anyone know if the charging pad will charge a cell phone?

 

Really hope it does bc honestly I'll use it more than the shoes.

Thanks. Seems like the UB 19's were released in February 2019 and the UB 20's were released in December 2019. Maybe I'm wrong but seems like we'll probably get the UB 21's in a couple months, no? I probably have 3 months or so left on my current Pegasus' so may just wait for the UB21's unless I can get a screaming deal on the UB 20's. I like the gold one which is going for $170 with a 25% promo code on Eastbay right now - that's tempting but I don't want them to just sit for a few months if the new design comes out soon.

 

They have gotten progressively worse with their aesthetics, but not sure if the performance is any better.

 

Agreed the 20s are fugly especially compared to like the 2.0

 

The 20s will constantly be $126 or cheaper soon. Those things are not selling well.
