    Hit a 185 PR on OHP then decided I was gonna do an as many sets as possible in 20 minutes of 145x3. Got 14 sets of it and it was pretty fucking easy but now have the worst pain I've ever felt in my shoulder. Hopefully just soreness and not something real.

    So, I think I'm kinda do bodybuilding right now but actually feel stronger and more explosive so good I guess. Did an as many sets as possible in 20 minutes of 430 trap bar triples today, got 11 in like 14 minutes and was super easy but my quad was acting up so didn't push for more. 15 was doable but goal going in was 10 so quite happy. Gonna try same for conventional next week.

    Fucked up my sanddune somehow which has me sad, may have to buy a new 1 soon.

    Was leaking through the cover then opened it up and yikes, current state. I do use it quite a bit and walk with some heavy weights, still surprised I fucked it up that bad.

    Wear and tear I guess. I actually couldn't tell any difference in using it then I moved it to a different room and was wondering why it was leaking. Opened it up and just a mountain of foam spilled out.

    Looked into if I had a warranty and almost always keep receipts on bigger purchases but couldn't find it. Not sure if I bought it from their site or rogue.

    It's a good enough product where I didn't have 2nd thoughts into buying another which I just did. Gonna be quite pissed if that happens again though.

    Probably because you can just do the normal lat pulldown and develop the same way provided you aren't cheating like a mofo.

    Finally broke down and bought a Sand Dunes Stepper because that worthless sack of shit hensleya didn't rig his giveaway for me.

    Plan on doing tha cardios on it at home and more importantly I want my old lady to use it because she wants mr to pay for her to come back to Lifetime AND THAT SHIT ISNT HAPPENING.

    My gym added one a few months ago and I finally gave it a try. Seems like a great thing to use at the end of a workout to get some volume

    Buddy posted a pic where he hit 285 lbs off his knee cap after missing on a clean and tried to reset and catch it on his thigh instead of just dropping it. Some people just gotta learn the hard way to let it go.

    Been doing a program my former BB pro friend rec. Such volume. I had to modify it because I hate the Smith machine lol. Refuse to use it. IDGAF. Pulling 315#4x10 last set I did 15. So weird.

    Had a shit session Monday. Typical “fuck it I’m not doing this meet” type session. Last session tonight which should have me feeling better about things. If I execute there’s plenty of PRs waiting for me.

    Good. Deload has started (deadlifts were just single rack pulls). Last truly heavy lift is bench on Friday. Just need to rest and eat right for the next week and a half.

    Yea. Squats and deads felt great today. Bench just isn’t clicking this week. I think I’ve figured out I haven’t been squeezing my lats enough. So we’ll see.

    My bench technique sucks as well but seems like it's easy to keep your upper body tight if you can build a bridge then dig your heels down.

    Tried those legless lat pulls, they're a bitch but I like it.

    Novice lifter here looking for some advice/guidance. Never really lifted my entire life, but decided to get into it a couple months ago. Based on my google searches, I decided I was going to commit to 3x/week of bench, squat, deadlift, and chin-ups to get a full body workout. Started out 5x5 initially. Then read some starting strength stuff online and have tinkered with 3x5 as well. I’ve consistently hit the gym, but I’ve been slightly less consistent in my routine between 5x5 and 3x5. Sometimes I don’t have time for 5x5 and do 3x5. Lately, 5x5 is simply getting harder to get through five sets as the weight goes up.

    At this point, is there any reading y’all would recommend or advice based on what I’ve posted? If I start to plateau, do I need to do a +500 calorie surplus in order to keep going? I don’t know whether to do maintenance or surplus at this point. I think I’m getting past the novice gains and may have to surplus to get stronger, but I really don’t know.

    I have so many questions. I don’t even know where to start. Thanks for the advice!

    When you get to a point thst you can't do anymore, drop down 15-20% of the weight and restart you linear progression and blow through your plateau

    Things I could tell my dumbass self when I first started lifting

    Take deloads, they're needed. There is no straight linear progression in lifting.
    Stretch rotators a lot because if you do a lot of pressing, they're gonna get really fucked up if you don't.

    Sure there are others but these 2 cost me a ton of progress.

    Not sure 3x5 is near enough volume for a beginner. You're gonna make a lot of progress at the beginning, that's the easy part.
