People act like it’s a scientific formula that would get us in but it’s really just vibes. Nobody has been vibing like Sellers the last two months.
Even with the whole sideline celebrating and Klubnik appearing to have accepted that it was an actual interception I was still convinced that it must’ve hit the ground before Knight had control of the ball. Good thing I watched it alone because I was screaming at the director of the broadcast to show a replay instead of the correct decision to focus on the team celebrating. Once I saw it never hit the ground I felt the need to run around my house for what must have been several minutes. I should probably give someone I trust Power of Attorney for next years game.
Congratulations. Weird that the new CFB has essentially made this game meaningless most years. Combine that with caring less about all sports in general as I age, and then the opportunity to stir up some of this at the tailgate, and all in all I’ve had worse times.
Really have zero interest at all in seeing us in a bowl game. If the seniors want it, let em play, as well as the walk-ons and back ups. But 1000% fuck Sellers or Stewart potentially getting hurt in some meaningless exhibition game.
Shitty outcome which was expected. It’s almost as if they viewed the game as a Clemson loss instead of a USC win.
TCU is pretty decent at NIL ans facilities for a smaller school but Texas’ now AD Chris Del Conte did much of the heavy lifting at TCU He did hire Mark Campbell at TCU away from Oregon and was able sway HVL to go there so Dawn should be fine bad news is he hired Sonny Dykes for football
iirc Hyman came from TCU and he was by far our best AD, so I’m going to give us the benefit of the doubt on this new fellow
He may have sucked at A&M, but he was great in Columbia. Tossed the good ol’ boys to the side and got to work on facilities development and fundraising that were very far behind the rest of the SEC. Pissed off those same good ol boys, which is good because fuck them, who made things difficult for him. Then the good ol boys won out by hiring the most good ol boy hire we could have done - national championship baseball coach and redneck Ray Tanner.
He raised prices to make the AD profitable. It pissed the long time fans off that were paying very little for the best seats. I get the snub to loyalty since some of those people watched really bad football for decades and kept paying when no one wanted those seats. He was our best AD because he treated it like a business. I hope this new guy embraces NIL and supports our coaches to navigate the new world.
I don’t think people who don’t know ball truly know how far behind we were facilities-wise compared to our competition before Hyman got here.
This has been a good signing day right? Been trying to follow throughout the day, seems like we signed everyone committed and got three bonus guys (miss state flip, lsu flip, uncommitted guy). Any rumors of portal guys were in on yet?
