I don’t blame people. This game is going to last until midnight at this rate. People got to work/go to school tomorrow and prepare for hurricane this weekend
Marching knights were obviously expecting FAMU band to come. They’re field show was like 4 minutes and now we are just singing along to Toto and queen
That was always his issue, book puts the ball where it needs to be for the playmakers to do their job, wimbush is awful at this. But he can take over a game by running the ball all over a defense and then make a big throw once in a while. Good defenses figure him out and he is dead in the water. That 2017 Nd team with a good qb is in the playoffs
Cincy beats ucla. I think ucla is going to be shit again this year but it still looks good on the resume
It's probably really common in the 3rd quarter. It's still the first game so trying to get guys a games worth of conditioning. The other team barely throwing the ball so Moore barely had anything to do. No one would have noticed otherwise. What really sucks is it wasnt even a real play.
cincy is going to be good but that’s hard to tell with that result because UCLA is just a step above dogshit
I think you probably have to keep Wimbush as the starter for the next game. The hurricane messes with the game prep badly but I'd like to see how they both react to their mistakes before we hopefully pick a guy for the rest of the season.
If FAU is cancelled, I’d hate to start BW against Stanford just because we “probably should give him a chance.” I feel like that’s gonna be a tough game, especially without Moore and Stanford having a top QB. But you’re probably right
If we lose the FAU game then not sure what you do. I guess depends on practice at that point. Any chance the game moves to Orlando?
Praying FAU doesn't get cancelled, that would just fuck everything up coming into Stanford week, but at this point I'll just hope the Stanford game even happens. a Cat 3/4 coming through Orlando might screw things up enough that the National Guard, et al wants to use the stadium as a staging area again.
At this point this storm is going to be bad enough that both places could get damage and not be suitable to play/travel. Newest update has the landfall around WPB, and then turning up towards Orlando.
I’m expecting at this point we ain’t playing FAU. If you want to start Wimbush against Stanford, that’s fine but if he doesn’t get it done in the first series, I better see DG in series 2.
Winbush has been in school for 4 years and still can’t throw. If Mack isn’t healthy the freshman is the only option. Winbush should never play, he’s absolutely terrible
lol at how scared Mullen is of us. Mullen then made the point about how much there is to possibly lose with playing a UCF team that is always trying to prove themselves in a preseason game that won’t count on the official record. Mullen would want to use the game to try and get his team ready for the real season. “OK, I’d have no problem with that,” he said about the UCF selection. “It’s a preseason game so at the end of it, it doesn’t count officially on your record. So what each side is trying to get out of it … I’m trying to get this out of it. Here’s the things I want to get, here’s the things that I want to see, here’s the things in a preseason game I want to get accomplished.”
wtf is he even talking about with the preseason game and it not counting? am I too hung over and missing something? what he is saying doesn't make sense. where is he even getting asked about us?
There is talk about adding pre-season games to college and someone said like you could play UCF in that and then he said that.
Why is UCF ducking FAU?!?!?! Seriously though they are going to probably have to stay at OSU and practice up there all week.
I’ve brought it up before but I’d be a fan of having a game that doesn’t count. Not necessarily a true preseason game but just a game that doesn’t count toward record. If you want to use that game to play an FCS team as a tune up game then cool. If you want to use that game to play in a neutral site big money game, then cool too. Your win over an FCS won’t pad your record and your loss against a big name team in a neutral site money game won’t hurt your record.
Too bad records are only a smart part of college football. Everything else is "eye test" or conference prejudice. Any preseason game would impact polls. So it doesn't work.
Did we ever switch to another PR in the 2nd or was it only Otis? His hands are not good on PR and I'd like to find someone else.
exactly, we could use yesterday as our game that doesn't count toward. UF and Miami could use their game that doesn't count toward record.
