Nearly finished with Hearts Of Stone. Wow so far. Some seriously creepy parts. This game is just so well done.
Got this over thanksgiving. It's pretty fucking awesome. I'm level 19 rn about to get on boat to Skellige. I'm mostly invested in attack and magic, but any advice on cool shit to put my XP into?
Damn, after just getting a new PC it's kind of disappointing that Witcher 3 on it's highest settings isn't that great and no other game seems to be pushing graphics right now.
If you want to push your graphics card(s): GTA V Metro Redux (These games will laugh at any video card) Battlefield 4 and Hardline (I can't get 60fps at 200% rendering with 2 980s in SLI. I get 60 around 135%) Just Cause 3 (Haven't personally played but I hear it looks amazing)
Never been a battlefield fan though the graphics on hardline look decent. GTA might have some of the best looking graphics with mods, but the non-car models still look really low poly. I'll probably try just cause 3 soon. Metro Redux looks like the entire game is either gray or brown.
thought witcher 3 was one of the most impressive looking xbone games i've seen so far, but my experience is admittedly limited.
I've never had a game make me stop and just chill in an area with a nice view. During the Skellige parts I would do that frequently.
Beat the main storyline at level ~35. Great game. Impressive world they built and very fun. I played on Novice for the first few days until like level 8 and then upped into Hard cause it was just too easy. Once Quen gives you back health it makes Geralt pretty fucking unstoppable as long as you are conservative in your fighting style. Wish there was a little more fighting for my taste and maybe some more complicated bosses-- thought Imerlith was the hardest battle. Overall though it got better and better and I loved it as my first xbone game. How is the expansion? Worth the 10 bucks?
The expansion is fantastic and has several really interesting boss fights. If you loved the main game, you will love the expansion. The second expansion comes out this spring and will add an entire new area to the game.
Fans of the long awaited brand new expansion to the epic open world action role playing video game, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will apparently have to wait a bit longer for the "Blood and Wine" expansion as it is expected to be coming in the first quarter of next year. The latest reports regarding its release indicates that CD Projekt RED is still in the process of determining when it will be releasing the highly anticipated expansion; this resulted to the company not being able to announce a fixed date as of the moment. The developer has, however, mentioned that they will be making an announcement very soon. The second expansion is set to put Geralt's saga into full gear as it will be featuring a few characters that are originally found in the books. These characters include the Dutchess of Touissant, Anna Henriatta as well as her cousin Fringello Vigo, who was formerly involved with Geralt. In related news, the game's community manager, Marcin Momot, mentioned that the brand new patch for the game, patch 1.12, is scheduled to release next month. He further mentioned that it could be a day after the New Year or a few weeks after. The patch brings with it numerous bug fixes and enhancements.
Once you have a Mastercrafted set of witcher gear is there anything you can do to improve it? I'm playing on game+ and regular witch hunter armor off a dead NPC is stronger than my stuff.
I didn't give it a fair shot the first time around (more excited about bloodborne). I've been doing a nice slow play through on death march. Great game.
Just got through the main story in NG+, still have to go through HoS again, but should be around level 70ish when I start BnW. The armor upgrade and gwent grind was the worst part of NG+ by far.
How important is gwent to this game? I just started playing last night and would like to steer clear of queer (barz) card games unless it means i miss something important.
I didn't play it at all and loved the game. There are card missions that you'll miss out on but its not really that integral to the game. Sort of like the settlements in fallout.
I felt the same as you, but then when I finished the game I went back and did all the gwent quests (after a month off). There are some cool, story-driven side quests (especially in the first expansion) that really add to the overall experience.
I mean, as long as i dont miss any sort of armor or weapon from it im down to skip it till a different playthrough. Im far more interested in just playing this game from a story/sidequest perspective. I spent two hours with it last night, and i have to say, this is an extremely easy game to listen to and watch. The dialogue driven scenes are something special.
Gwent is a great game. Imelrith (sp?) was kicking my face in on death march. Got a lucky whirl combo in before he dropped his shield, no second stage of fight, he dead.
That's what I did and then decided to play it. The game is massively addictive. It doesn't take long to get the hang of it by trial and error. I was probably 70 hours in before I tried it. I recommend playing it to the guys that haven't
Outside of weird bugs sometimes this game is just fuckin excellent so far. Really setting the bar for storytelling/gameplay/voice acting for the medium. I feel like a fool for waiting so long to play it.
I felt the same way with Dragon Age. Somehow I didn't play it for years after it came out despite it being right up my ally.
I mean its giving me what i hoped fallout would give me from the sidequest perspective. The sidequests are all very well done. Fun and interesting with many having challenging battles to boot. The pacing may be the best part. It does not sacrifice gameplay to tell a story or sacrifice story to better gameplay. Its a treat rn
I didn't start playing g went until I was probably half way through the game. Probably my biggest regret from my first play through.
