I gotta say that was fucking kick ass I dunno if it was the band was so awesome, or the venue was fucking perfect, or the fact I haven't seen live music in so long..... but damn that was so much fun Sidenote: Mike is a really cool guy, got to hang with him for a bit after and him and the whole band are awesome
They were one of my last shows before the pandemic hit. Played as an opener for American Aquarium in Raleigh and lit the place on fire. Were out there at the merch table beforehand as well.
He’s talked about it quite a bit since complicated game came out but it really is incredible how much he stretches himself vocally compared to the early days.
This may be the beers taking, but I’m expecting Charles Wesley Godwin to blow up soon. He’s really good.
Not a Bluegrass thread so I'm putting this here. Norwegian Bluegrass. Lead sounds a bit like A. Krauss. Has a celtic sound to it.
I didn't know if you knew this, but that show is streamed. I'm several months late on finding it. https://blackbirdpresents.com/sing-me-back-home-the-music-of-merle-haggard-digital-access/
I know someone that just moved from there. they said the machines dont pay out. also all it is a couple slots and video poker machines and one poker table
these guys are just a damn solid red dirt band, I can find no complaints about them. This album is pretty good start to finish, better than Homeland Insecurity which imo was underrated too. FC is putting out some of the best "red dirt" country out there
I’ve seen him a couple times. He’s incredibly talented and unique. I’ve just never been able to really get into his music.
