Billy got a new album coming out?
John R Miller
Jesse Daniel's new album is pretty solid on first listen. About halfway through now, and really liking it.
The new James McMurtry fucks
“If It Don’t Bleed” is my new ear worm.
I’m not convinced that today’s country music is gayer than old country music. The artists are just slightly more overtly homosexual than was “Hank” Williams.
What a sad perspective
New Mike and the Moonpies record dropped this morning.
Paycheck to paycheck is an absolute banger. Straight 90s bar country
to me that and hour on the hour are the strongest tracks.
Where’d you hear it? I’ve heard a ton of the songs on his streams but never in album form.
After a few listens, I really think this is their strongest album yet. None of the songs individually are as good as Steak night, the last time, or wedding band for me but every single song on this album is great in its own right. Tough right now to name my favorite album of the year with Cole Chaney, John R Miller, Mac Leaphart, and Pony Bradshaw. It's been such a great year even without some big names. That's a solid top 5 for any year
The three singles from the album so far are on Apple Music.
Enjoying the new Mike and moon pies. I really like his singing voice. Seems like it’d be a fun show
they sound awesome live. went to see them at the grey eagle in asheville in 2019. i was bummed that me and like 15 other people showed up to see them. they brought good energy despite the small crowd.
something about a pedal steel just really hits for me. i dont get to see many bands that feature one.
Best one yet
RIP Nanci Griffith.
Probably not gonna be the most popular opinion in here but this cover is amazing to me. Stapleton goes off at like the 6 minute mark.
Isbell has a cover on this thing too but I haven't listened to it yet.
I’m the guy who throws the first punch
The McMurtry is so good. Operation Never Mind is such a perfectly timed American military industrial complex song that it just bowled me over. And a worthy defense of the working class.
Never been into country all that much but I’ve always liked George Strait. Been listening to a ton of his stuff the last few days.
New Sturgill fucks and is decidedly country with some bluegrass in there.
He’s just the best
Fuck. As good of a country storyteller as has ever stepped up to the mic.
should be enough music released today to keep me busy for a few weeks
Going to Railbird Festival this weekend. Was bummed that Tanya Tucker and Colter Wall had to cancel. Luckily they filled one of those spots with Robert Earl Keen
Kasey Musgraves v good for real
Not sure how “country” this record is going to be for her but really excited for it.
This is some real damn good old school Texas country.
Railbird had 3 stages and it was tough to try and see everybody I wanted to, but I was able to see most of them. I saw:
Robert Earl Keen
My Morning Jacket
Billy and his band completely blew me away. One of the best live performances I’ve ever seen.
You catch hell from the water lines? Saw the pics
Saturday was pretty brutal. Very hot and crazy long/slow lines everywhere all day. Lots of pissed off people.
Sunday was much better. Easy access to free water bottles all day, shorter/faster lines, and not as hot.
I was rage tweeting them about the lines on Saturday. That was an abject failure on their part. 100° heat index and there are hour lines for fucking water.
other than that, the music was solid. Introduced some folks to Zach Bryan’s music and they loved him.
Black Pumas also put on a solid set and I spent the entire set in line at that Budweiser Beer Garden
Sounds like the 99 Woodstock doc
would really love to see black pumas live.
Highly recommend. They are very good
New Cody Jinks single.
New Cody Jinks *Metal* single
Our guy mimicking Aaron Lewis here or what
Billy Strings still fucks. This might be my fav tune of his
What album should I start with strings?
Vivaldi. Violin Concerto #4
Bet thanks bro
