Very drunk thoughts here but I did not like the Morgan Wade album the first time I listened to it and I have no idea why. Someone in here mentioned it and I went back and listened again and I can't stop. Easily one of my favorite albums, country or else, of the past few years. I'm really bad at doing this but sometimes one listen ain't enough.
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/alabama-bassist-teddy-gentry-arrested-182050121.html Bassist Teddy Gentry, a founding member of the famed country group Alabama, was arrested on marijuana charges Monday in the band's home state.
Charley Crockett's new album is my fav of his by a mile. Trinity River was already my fav song of his and his version on this album is stellar.
You can livestream his concert for free Thursday or Friday night at the link below https://marcusking.volume.com/t/oiUgHu/
Rita is Gone Saw him and the band play at the American legion on Gallatin Pike last summer before they left on tour. Apparently that is his bar. Good Hearted Woman and Whipping Post covers New album is good on the first listen. As expected. Also can hear a lot of the Dan Auerbach influence in Aim High Spoiler
If y'all like Marcus King, check out this album. Had no idea Paul Cauthen was on it. His name didn't use to be on the album like this as seen below Spoiler Superstition by The Texas Gentlemen Do you believe in ghosts? Do you believe in ghosts? Do you believe they can hold you hostage? I think it happens often Do you believe in love? Do you believe in love ghosts? And the things you go hump in the night When you're alone in Tennessee And you haven't realized yet She's the kind of girl That tries to find the magic a person And that only hurts them Cause she's never certain About her decisions And I'm not the kind of guy To sit around (sit around) Waiting for an answer This love is a cancer And I'm in remission Still I get these bouts of superstition Do you believe in ghosts? Do you believe in ghosts? Do you believe they can give you blowjobs? And take your money Do you believe in love? Do you believe in love? And the things you go hump in the night When you're alone in Tennessee And you haven't realized yet She's the kind of girl That tries to find the magic a person And that only hurts them Cause she's never certain About her decisions And I'm not the kind of guy To sit around (sit around) Waiting for an answer This love is a cancer And I'm in remission Still I get these bouts of superstition I always get these bouts of superstition I always get these bouts of superstition I always get these bouts of superstition
Listened to Marcus King’s new one last night from start to finish and it fucking smokes. So then I did a Twitter search to see what other people are saying about it and apparently Marcus is engaged to a MAGA influencer. Cool, cool.
I love Marcus King. My buddy in the music industry said he's known for being super cheap with his supporting musicians, bummed me out. Incredible talent though.
that seems kinda weird giving his upbringing. his dad has been gigging around greenville, sc for 40 years, and Marcus started going to shows with him when he was like 8 years old. i've never met marcus, but his dad married into my extended family and i've talked to him a little.
Got tickets for Morgan Wade in March today. Don't go to many concerts anymore so pretty excited even if it's 6 months out. Kaitlin Butts is opening. Believe someone ITT mentioned her.
Zach Bryan tickets are going for $250 for next weekend here. Morgan Wade GA's I got for $30 are already at $60. I saw some places she booked already moved elsewhere because of numbers. Maybe these awesome acts should be doing bigger venues.
morgan wade sold out her Portland and Seattle shows here next spring in like 2 minutes. play bigger venues plz.
Seen James McMurtry and Margo Price where she's coming but the same company owns a much bigger place a block away. Like 500-1k vs. 2-5k.
