He’s definitely not blameless but at a certain point you can only do so much when your defense cannot make an outlet pass or gain the neutral zone on their own.
Messing around with CapFriendly today and it looks like a Petry buyout isn’t too prohibitive. Doesn’t mean it’ll happen, but it makes more sense than buying out Holl. With Holl we just need to trade him and determine the retention based on what it’ll take to move him as painlessly as possible.

I would assume playing 4-3 v 5-4 throw things off a bit but they didn’t even get the puck below the faceoff dot until 15 seconds left. Unserious franchise.
