I don't really buy this narrative... I mean basic human emotion contains some level of empathy for a fellow human. Even if they were as barbaric in all the ways documented, they still had to have understood at some level, that their opponents found certain acts that they did more extreme and unnecessary than others. ...or my mind simply can't fathom that environment and time in the world.

I have been doing a rewatch lately while falling asleep. Watched the finale last night. Forgot how much I hated the ending and the latter seasons, especially the last one, in general. S9 is just spectacularly bad.
