As you wish, but... Nah, not after all of the ass slapping 'best ohio state' line-up ever talk and subsequent choke job and the smugness brought upon my psu brothers after we lost Suriano and Nolf got injured but perhaps maybe we can talk more and more about how awesome every other team is and how good they will be in the future while trying to ignore the elephant in the room that is the most dominant wrestling program in the land and will continue to be even if you and others refuse to admit to the greatness of carl and what he is doing, just be glad carl allowed you to win a title, a simple thank you, carl, would suffice.
OSU has won 3 of the last 4 Big Ten titles. No doubt Tan Tom is assembling a really special program. We all should congratulate them on their dominance.
good idea, i'd like to congratulate the ohio state buckeyes for their wrestling dominance over the past few years, as they have incredibly won 3 out of the last 4 B1G wrestling titles, not to mention they produced the greatest wrestler of his generation as well as a 4x ncaa champion, many other national champions and all americans and also a team national championship, but let's also not forget the prowess of the ohio regional training center for producing so much talent for this great country of ours because without ohio state, american wrestling just wouldn't be the same.
But seriously I think all OSU fans here think your program is freaking awesome. I just don't see the same ghosts of disrespect you guys see.
There's never been any, pretty weird that they still think it's funny. Sure it will continue now that we're bitching about it.
With its returners and desantos tranferring In does anyone think Iowa can compete for the title this year? I watch a lot of college wrestling but I don’t really follow recruiting so I don’t know about guys replacing others
What's funny is that I thought this thread was above that stuff. They allowed stevis to pull them down and all of their classy message boards.
Say what you want to say about me but I think DD’s posts from earlier have a lot more to do about GGCD and Gunners constant “wishing and praying and hoping” PSU gets dethroned through other teams. Which again makes your fan base look like shit as usual.
Well he is an added all-American so I figured it definitely solidifies 133 unless he and spencer murder each other
That’s one school of thought, I hope the boys have sat him down and had a convo. Desanto has some medical isssues, I’m not going to get into it because GGCD will run in here and have a fit but it’s from a close friend who is a sports editor in Austin’s former district. Really hard to believe he’s going that far away from home. If things go 100% with no issues he’ll be a major asset to the hawks.
I'm not allowed to enjoy freestyle because it's not all about penn state, great logic fuckhead. get help
I guess that’s why Freestyle isn’t perfect because it’s not all about redneck Ahia State. Fucking osu tools
Seriously, PSU fans in here are the worst. Your program is amazing, no need for insecurity and shitty posting. Just let the rest of us talk about non-PSU wrestling in peace pls
you are such a whack job dude. I don't hate PSU in any way. Loved every minute of watching Zain, Nolf, Cenzo, Hall, and Bo wrestle. The only reason we were "wishing and praying and hoping" PSU got dethroned was because their only threat was Ohio State and we are Ohio State fans. I feel bad arguing with you because you are obviously not a smart person but fuck. If it isn't clear that I am a wrestling fan more so than an Ohio State clenching my fists with envy at the mere mention of PSU then I don't know what to tell you. Everyone knows PSU is the best program in the country, this is the first year it's been close in a while. Congrats. You are still dumb.
Stevis_In_C-Bus claiming a human being he doesn't know has mental issues is just about the richest irony I could ever imagine
Clueless, stick to Paris Graham kids. You MAY have an idea about them. The Desanto case has been documented.
No, but it's certainly a nice boost, and if things fall the right way the could compete in a couple years. 125: Spencer Lee (If Daton Fix goes 133 he will be a huge favorite to win a title, probably the biggest at any weight) 133: Austin DeSanto (Possible AA) 141: Max Murin (Very solid but needs time--141 should be the toughest weight in the country next year. Won't AA) 149: Pat Lugo (AA candidate, possible high AA) 157: Kaleb Young (Borderline Top 20 type, weight cut could be a big issue) 165: Alex Marinelli ('18 AA, potential high AA if he is healthy next season--I think he is right there with McFadden, Wick, and Massa in the tier behind Cenzo) 174: Michael Kemerer (Should be an AA, but don't see him beating Zahid or Hall. How will he do jumping 2 classes? Can he beat guys like Amine and Daniel Lewis? I don't think so as of now.) 184: Cash Wilcke (Possible AA, but will have to make strides in offseason or upset an opponent to make it there. More likely RO16 or 12 guy) 197: Jacob Warner (Possible high AA, definitely a title contender at 197 heading into the season) 285: Sam Stoll (Possible finalist, but there's a group of 6-7 guys who are potential finalists, and Gable Steveson is probably a big favorite to win the weight) I could see them coming in 2nd overall if they wrestle fairly well, but they won't beat PSU this year. They only lose Stoll next year and they got a really nice heavy in Cassioppi this recruiting cycle.
It’s called having contacts in the state because I wrestled there. I also think it’s pathetic for you to ask for a person’s name. You’re a smart guy and swear by Flo, watch a couple of AD interviews, it’s not going to give you answer but I would hope it would help. Kid wasn’t homeschooled for religious reasons.
I don't think it's an insecurity thing. I think we've just been busting balls. Have we been too aggressive at times? Maybe. I think most of the posts have been clearly ball busting. Maybe we get carried away some times. Like bo pulling out some crazy ass move to clinch an unexpected national title. Or when we upset you in a dual as heavy underdogs. But it's really all just ball busting. Edit: Also your coach is a huge bitch and it's hard to not make fun of him. No rahgrets Spoiler: Disclaimer this was just in reference to PSU posters. Stevis is a red blooded OSU poster and is actually very representative of your fan base. Just embarrassing. You guys need to get your shit together. Spoiler Grats bucs!
I think you guys read to many boards and take that stuff to serious. No osu fan on hear acts anyway stupid towards you guys other than stevis. We need someone to claim him at some point though

California Baptist Lenny zalesky, mike mena, etc They are in the process of moving to division I, I’m assuming scheduling them was a move by Ryan to help out with the transition.
Despite the ensuing clash, the training partners will continue to prepare side-by-side in Columbus. After discussion with both, the Ohio State coaching staff has decided to corner neither wrestler for the Final X event. McKenna’s corner man will be his high school coach Jeff Buxton while Logan has elected to receive in-match instruction from his brother and former Buckeye, Hunter Stieber, and former Ohio State associate head coach Lou Rosselli.
AKRON time U-23 Trials 57kg Jack Mueller Drew Mattin Louie Hayes Austin Assad Lots of young ones here, not super psyched about our chances regardless of who comes out. Also, peep Mueller at 57kg--could be dropping down to 125 next year. Weight is definitely hurt by the absence of our best guys in Fix, Lee, and Tomasello. 61kg Vitali Arujau Tariq Wilson Micky Phillippi Nick Piccininni Luke Pletcher Sean Fausz RBY Excited about the depth here and it will be one of the more (most?) fun weights to watch, but I don't know if these guys are competing for medals. Vitali hasn't wrestled a college match yet, struggled at JR trials, and is the favorite. 65kg Mitch McKee Dom Demas Kaid Brock (obviously bumping up next year) Kaden Gfeller Luke Karam Sam Krivus Brock Zacherl Tristan Moran Solid weight here, but none of these guys aren't getting teched by Kuular. 70kg Hayden Hidlay Ryan Deakin Boo Lewallen Ke-Shawn Hayes Matt Kolodzik Tyler Berger Now we're cooking with gas. Would love to see Zain or Nolf here so we could compete for a gold, but PSU doesn't wrestle in the summer anymore I guess. 74kg Evan Wick David McFadden Jon Jay Chavez Josh Shields Kennedy Monday Kaleb Young Fully expect a Wick/McFadden final and that's solid, but another weight where our best guys aren't competing. 79kg Jordan Kutler Daniel Lewis JoJo Smith No Zahid/Hall, no medal. 86kg Myles Martin Max Dean Taylor Venz Jelani Embree Chip Ness Cash Wilcke Nino Bonaccorsi Solid but not spectacular again. Myles' weight to lose. 92kg Michael Macchiavello Jakob Woodley Christian Brunner Ugly. 97kg Kollin Moore Ben Darmstadt Ben Honis Kyle Conel Malik McDonald Jared Campbell Andre Lee Kevin Snyder Certainly a fun weight here. Hoping for Moore-Conel III: FS edition and Darmstadt-Honis in a battle of teammates. Wouldn't mind seeing Moore-Snyder either. Also Moore at 97kg and not 92kg is a little concerning after his season last year. 125kg Ryan Garrett Michael Hughes Youssif Hemida Conan Jennings Meh. Not good. Overall, exciting matchups domestically, but these guys aren't going to be sniffing Russia's jock internationally. They are sending their A Team. More than half of their team will be top 10 internationally at the SENIOR level. No one on our team will be top 20. Overall, it looks like our youth teams have fallen victim to their own success this year--guys who should be headlining teams for us (Daton Fix, Zahid Valencia, IMar, Nick Reenan, Joey McKenna, Adam Coon--not to mention Kyle Snyder) are competing to make senior level teams (or on JR level team in Gable's case). PSU's big 5 in Zain Retherford, Jason Nolf, Mark Hall, Bo Nickal, Vincenzo Joseph not competing. Spencer Lee sitting out. Seth Gross sitting out. Yianni D injured. NaTo injured. It's unfortunate that we aren't going to be sending a competitive roster considering the tremendous success we had at the SR, JR, and Cadet level last year. Imagine this team: 57kg: Daton Fix/Spencer Lee 61kg: Seth Gross 65kg: Yianni D/Joey McKenna 70kg: Zain Retherford/Jason Nolf 74kg: Isaiah Martinez/Vincenzo Joseph 79kg: Zahid Valencia/Mark Hall 86kg: Nick Reenan/Bo Nickal 92kg: Who cares look at the rest of the team 97kg: Kyle Snyder 125kg: Adam Coon/Gable Steveson Might not win gold but it would certainly be interesting.
I was told the team was pretty beat up and running on fumes. They were basically told to take the summer off. I don't think this is going to be a regular thing.
