Same thing happened in game 2. VGJ is sending 3 and 4 man ganks and getting lots of kills, but EG just doesn't care because they're farming all 3 lanes and VGJ is farming one.
Yeah, this is why I was glad NA got 3 slots. Fly and S4 are all-time glue guys in dota. If anyone could make current EG work it's those 2.
idk man, VGJ has beaten LGD, Mineski, Secret, and Vici in bo3's in the last month. They have more impressive wins recently than Optic tbh.
VGJ made mention in an interview re: OpTic about how "momentum" is not real and how playing well on LAN just means that other teams have more chances to study your tape. They then won a few qualifiers and did well at a couple of tourneys, including winning a minor. I thought they were due to fall off just because there were more replays to study (and some of Reso's best heroes were nerfed, like Gyro and TB).
The wins are nice and all, but idk they didn't look like the same team at the super major as when they were doing well in previous tournaments. I think Yawar and Sneyking are both hit or miss type players.
I mean I never said I thought VGJS was clearly better- I don't think you can really separate the two. I think they're both very capable of beating each other, and as an Optic fan I'd prefer not to leave that up to chance.

i just dumpstered underhollow last night with ember spirit, magnus, sven lineup magnus stun into ember ult into sven stun and cleave = gg
Also, boldish prediction: BF ember is being overlooked right now and we're gonna see some of it at TI. The increased cleave radius and % cleave damage on battle fury are big for sleight, and the 2 charges of it at 25 is ridiculously good with the cleave build.
