If it was that cottonmouth in Owsley's picture, I'd say go for it, but devine's neighbor can enjoy his rodents now that he killed one of the good guys.
Nice. I coincidently had an Eastern Box Turtle in the yard this morning, slightly larger than that. Found a baby out by the garden the day before. Failed to grab pics of either though :(
Visiting Boise with the wife, went to the Bitanical garden and they gave this path in the foothills with native high desert, Idaho native plants. Turn to my wife before entering, ‘watch the paths, Raddlers could be sunning themselves at this time and we got a few sharp curves coming up.’ 50 yards later I turn a corner and see a 2 foot green snake haul ass inbetween the shrubs with the path only a couple feet wide. Jumped like a bitch and turned around. Did some quick research and it was a racer, not venomous, but I wasn’t about to find out before that time.
4+ feet long. 2" thick Went to strike position when I touched the tail and did a fake rattle with it's tail. Common black snake? This is in mid South Carolina.
Owsley what do we have here? Cheaha State Park, probably a little over 4’ long. I poked it to get it to move off our path and it mimicked a rattle. I’m thinking rat snake.
