Not much going on in Horry County in SC. Emerald Isle in NC got fucked pretty good by a Tornado I think from pictures I saw. The Jeep in the beach is the funniest thing to come out if MB this hurricane.
Everything that's happened so far in NC has been from tornadoes. Warnings all over the place, and will continue throughout the night.
Two tornadoes have touched down within 300 yards of my house ( i live near the runway for wilmington international) in the last two hours. They've both gone the other direction (NW). Have power and internet currently. actually internet went out while posting this, buy just came back on.
I live right next to the end of the airport where if the planes didn't take off they'd crash into my house.
They just mentioned on the weather channel, that a kid or someone in the family drove it out there last night, and they didn't immediately try to get it towed off. By the time they did, officials said it was too late and dangerous to try.
Aww shucks already got the text that we are going back to work tomorrow morning. Guess the good thing in that is the expectation of little damage in the area here and the ability to get things back to normal sooner than later while many others aren't so lucky.
What does the flooding look like? I saw a pic from Garden City and it looked fucked. Basically flooded from the pier back out to the marsh.
Heading out tonight with a bunch of other fishing boats here for a supply run and evacuation when we leave to Hope Town and Marsh Harbour. Honestly kinda scared of what we're going to meet. Hasn't been much good news from there since which is why I haven't updated.
