In snow in the back of a truck on what looks like a highway or interstate. The poor dog is clearly cold as shit. If you don't think that's shitty pet ownership then I really hope you don't have any pets.
There are stories every single year about people calling animal control on a husky type dog because they think it's cold, when in reality those dogs love the shit outta that weather. Driving with your dog in the back of a truck with the tailgate open is awful. A husky in cold weather isn't.
It was in a truck driving down the road while the wind chill outside was 0°. The dog had nowhere to go if it were uncomfortably cold. It's shitty pet ownership.
Those dogs are bred to live in -40° temps. In fact they enjoy cold temps. It’d be more cruel to leave him outside in 90° weather than whatever temp that pic was in (can’t be that cold since it’s snowing). Back of the truck on a highway and the tailgate being down make him a shitty person.
Sigh. Veterinarian and police opinions shared in article. It's problematic and not just because of the tailgate being down. Don't be shitty pet owners. Just be considerate. https://fox17online.com/2019/10/11/...oes-viral-could-be-considered-animal-cruelty/ If you don't think it's problematic then that's your choice. I just think it's shitty and trashy.
Yes but not for the same reasons. At least not all of them. Why don't you go enter the Idiot-a-rod or something, Mr. Malmute expert? Spoiler Don't actually think you're an idiot at all. Just really wanted to squeeze in an Iditarod pun.
Our St Bernard would lay on an exposed 2nd story deck during blizzards and refuse to come inside. Even during his final year when he could barely use his legs or go to the bathroom, he’d turn into a puppy the second he saw a flake fall. Driving an unloaded pickup w/ your tailgate down is unbelievably stupid. It’s been proven time and time again it actually hurts your mileage. It’s also unnecessarily dangerous for fellow motorists and property owners.
I tried to find Carla Waldman's Facebook and determined that this original incident happened in August

This is my story! Went to a pizza place near our house outside Chicago. It was 30 degrees out and our dog would sit out in that for hours in the snow. She'd be covered in snow and we could barely see her. We took her with us and let her stay in the car. A cop shows up and got my name from the reservation and our license plate. I was like, yeah that's me. My wife and buddy's jaws dropped. "Is that your dog in the car outside? Someone called and complained..." without hesitation "yeah, she's an arctic dog. A Husky? She loves it." Cop "That's what I think too. Like I don't have better things to do than chase down the owner of a dog enjoying time outside the house" and he kept mumbling and left. My wife was beside herself mad but I just finished my Lou's.
Not a chance in hell outside of a medical emergency. At that point everything would have been paid for the most part including non refundable deposits.
Probably not real but reminds me that broke people having ridiculously expensive, gaudy weddings is pretty trashy.
I wish they'd pass a law allowing police to lock up kids who just look like they're school shooters cuz that kid is 100% pure American anti-social white boy school shooter.
