So I am on the Sprint Lease program where I can upgrade every 12 months. I am still rocking my X rather than upgrade last year bc I didn’t really care about any new features last year. Now my phone lease is up and I can either pay it off and keep it for $250 or upgrade now to the 11. I can upgrade to the pro for like $10 less a month and be eligible for another upgrade in 12 months. I am thinking the next iPhone will have 5G and USB c so I want to be able to upgrade then. I figure the Lease upgrade is the best option as I only pay the down payment of $150. Anyone else in a similar situation? Also if I do upgrade, any suggestions on the best makers for a new phone case? I have seen good ones by Spigen.
Got the Costco MacBook Air, get home and it’s obviously been open before. There are little marks on the body ect. Now i have to go back tomorrow. edit - not only did Costco sell me a returned computer, i just opened it up and its password protected. Lol. Wtf
On the topic of Costco, the lowest price I've seen on Watch 5 https://www.costco.com/apple-watch-...nd---44mm---space-gray.product.100517262.html
2015 MBP is doing this thing where it randomly shuts down once the battery life gets to ~15%. That battery condition says "replace soon" but the description of the status doesn't sound too terribly problematic. Definitely not getting the battery life I used to get though so idk what to do.
Yeah, imma do that. Just a little odd since the battery condition thing says it's functioning normally.
Looking for a computer for my kids to do school work on, found a razor 21.5 inch I-Mac late 2015 model, Model MK142LL/A for $500 shipped, good deal or keep looking?
Need some help. Years ago I purchased some audiobooks for my iTouch (if that gives you an idea as to how long ago it was) and for some reason they are no longer on my iTunes account. My assumption is that at some point I did a new iTunes account and of course have no idea when or what I changed it from. I still have these audiobooks on my iTouch and want to download them to my iTunes from my iTouch so I can then download them to my phone. Is that possible? If it's not possible, is there a place where I can download them again for free seeing as how I would really rather not pay another $20-$30 per book (9 books in total) for books I have already purchased at some point?
I’m sure there are tutorials on YT on how to pull songs / books off an iPod and onto a computer. Then you just import them into iTunes and sync it to your phone
The difference is you need internet connection for that audio call while a phone call is transmitted over cellular / radio waves. The ipods got have cellular service, which is the difference. you’re welcome - Smart guy
iphones use LTE data to make phone calls and can also use wifi when cell reception is bad. it's all just bits and bytes, analog signals are gone. explain that smart guy
I found a bunch of websites that had suggestions on how to do it but when I tried a couple of them it wouldn't work. I am guessing I am SOL. So now I need to find a way to download all of these books in a different way because I really don't want to spend $250+ on books I have already spent $250+ on.
7+ finally started slowing down on me, freezing opening apps and battery life had gotten shitty. 3 years or so. It was a good run Gained like an inch of screen size even though the phones are like the same size. gonna miss having the home button but in a few days I’ll be used to not having it there
It won’t even take days. I have a 6 year old iPad Mini I use as an extra screen for sports and it always feels so antiquated trying to navigate with the home button.
I’d be surprised if you’re not used to no home button tomorrow FWIW. kinda weird how quickly it felt natural
It’s already feeling way more comfortable after a few hours. The face recognition is real nice though
Anyone got a rec for which MacBook I should get? I've had my current MacBook Pro since 2011 and it's finally starting to bog down and get slow and randomly crash apps. I definitely don't want an Air, but can't decide which MacBook is the best move or if they'll come out with some revolutionary one in a year.
I got the MBP 2018 model (without navigation Touch Bar) and really enjoy it. Has really good battery life and charges quickly.
Basically, the one I have now I actually got in 2012 and has 2.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, 4 GB 1600 MHz memory, and Intel HD graphics 4000 1536 MB. It's been a great laptop, but I feel like it just constantly lags with everything I do now and don't know that there's any way it's going to get any better.
I’m all Apple except for laptops. Really seem overpriced for the specs. Design isn’t a big advantage anymore. Is it just the infrastructure and be all Apple? Or are there advantages if you’re a pro video or artist
My MacBook Pro is a mid-2012 model and I’ve never had a single problem with it, it still works like a charm, and I have never made a single upgrade on it. The chances of being able to do that with a PC are very slim unless all you do is browse the internet l. But then if that’s all you do, why waste money on a computer when you could just buy an iPad?
I run a mid 2012 mbp that I upgraded to max ram and a ssd. Both easy upgrades and this thing still runs great.
Same w my 2011. Although it doesn’t support past High Sierra. Gonna buy the 14” MBP when they come out w it. 9 years is a good run.
