Heard a rumour about a death star set with around 11,000 pieces. Will be interesting to see how that looks.
I'd think so. The guy who used to do evening card breaks on twitch for Dave& Adam's card world quit and does evening twitch feeds where he discusses stuff like that.
Me and the wife went to New Orleans this weekend, and went to the mall. They had a LEGO store, and the new Harry Potter sets look pretty awesome. Also, the LEGO store is an amazing place.
Not sure about staterooms, but I found this: "The replica is "the largest Lego set ever created," according to the toymaker, made up of 9,090 pieces. The model stretches over 4 feet, in addition to showing off a “First-Class grand staircase,” “Jacobean-style dining saloon” and more." https://www.usatoday.com/story/mone...plica-version-famed-ship-for-sale/6037744001/
I’m 1000% buying this. I’ll figure out what to do with it later. My house sale better close before 11/7.
I went into the LEGO store a few weeks ago and looked around. They said with the large size and weight of the box, they would use a dolly to take the kit to your car. Here's an extensive review of the build. Love that they added little facts and whatnot in the instruction booklet. Now I know my dream job. Guy who builds LEGO sets on youtube. Wonder how much this guy makes from his channel. Edit: I see that this guy was actually a designer for LEGO.
went back today for a couple more rides and to buy whatever we wanted they were out of the dia de los muertos sets so we snagged a couple christmas things along with a lot of smaller things for my biggest
Just going to jump online and play release day roulette. By miracle It worked on UCS millennium falcon day.
Didn’t get the Titanic set on early release day, but I got it on back order day. Supposed to show up mid-dec. I can’t wait to not put it together anytime soon.
I am 99% confident my folks got me the Home Alone set for my b-day so I've been watching some youtube stuff on it. One dude made an off hand comment that the Titanic is the best set ever, makes me want to carve out a spot for it even more.
I’m gonna enjoy putting it together. I’m gonna look at it for about an hour. Then I’m gonna have to disassemble it and store it away. Fuckin monstrosity.
So we moved over the summer, and are having our first kid in February/March. In this transition I lost my "man cave" and don't really have anywhere to build/display my lego sets, and it breaks my heart :(
Think I've posted this elsewhere on TMB but this is the little Lego space my buddy and I built for my son when he was 4. He's obviously outgrown it since but it was perfect for a long time.
Thats the hope. My wife loves Harry Potter and I’ve bought her some sets over the years. Hoping that can be the bridge that gets her into legos.
Got the Central Perk set for Christmas. Partner and I will be finishing the typewriter when we get back from post-Christmas road trip.
Hell yea. It’s an amazing build. I need to break down what I had started on the build and restart. I moved over the summer and it got banged up/broken.
