Have been shit this whole year. Setting a goal to do min. 30min on Tue Wed Thurs through football season.
About a week and a half ago, I was taking some rock ride and there was like 30 people in it but I was about to hit #1 fairly easily and with about 5 mins left realized someone with like a minute more than me (so around 6 or 7 mins left) was slowly closing the gap on me I got up to #1 and pretty much went out into an all-out sprint to stay ahead of the guy, yes, even through the cool down minute. He high fived me with about 0:30 left in the ride and went on to beat my output by 2 in the final minute. I was so devastated, I wished there was some sort of message to tell him it doesn't count cuz he caught me in the cool down
that's why I don't give a fuck about the leaderboard. people going all out during warm ups and cool downs outside of the given ranges
I don’t try and pass people but I take a warm up and cool down rides so I can go all out in the ride.
you should definitely be able to go all out, and you can use the bike how you want, but people blasting 100 speed and 40+ output 15 seconds in are just gunning for high scores IMO. you do you, it is your exercise. But I think that's good reason not to get caught up in the leaderboard since it isn't really tied to the ride and the numbers given.
only time I care about the leaderboard is when I’m doing a live ride or a session when I know the other people are live. Other than that I don’t really worry about others.
Coming back to this because I’ve had it happen a couple times and only in live or leaderboard sessions. Usually just have to restart the bike and it works but you obviously lose the live session then.
So that looks awesome with the foldability, but I will save myself 3k and go to the gym with my phone and do it there. I really liked the OrangeTheory style class with the rower where you superset most of the time. I hope it's kind of like that
I was really pumped about the rower, but they’ve GOT to do better market research before launching this stuff. I’ll wait until they discount it to $2k and buy it then.
Step 1: buy rowing machine, 55" tv, smart watch for $1000 Step 2: open up brokerage account and short $2200 worth of Peloton Step 3: ... Step 4: profit
Took my first boot camp class in a while today. Forgot how much they suck (as in kick your ass). Need to do them more often.
Apparently rowing classes will only be available for the Rower. to recap: $3K cost No financing Classes only available on rower Seems like they’re trying to have a terrible launch
The only thing that makes sense is the financing. Can’t imagine that is much of a thing with interest rates so high.
Started doing scenic rides, really enjoying going at my own pace and with my own music on. Probably won’t be a permanent change but it’s a good change of pace if the regular classes are giving you burnout
there is a bike + package right now that’s over 2800 I remember the original bike cost was about 2500 when I bought it. I can’t imagine them saying no over 500 or so.
I’m no finance expert, but why would anyone external hold debt on a consumer item made by a company that may go bankrupt?
i would assume so? I know affirm finances basically anything but allowing unsecured financing 3k+ potential piece of junk seems dumb.
i thought the prevailing wisdom was that even if they go bankrupt they (peloton) will still offer classes so the equipment won’t be useless.
I wonder if people have 'turned' on Kendall at all. She is obviously a top 3 popular instructor, but when I bookmark classes and sort them by 'top rated,' her classes are always at the bottom.
Kendall took a lot of flack during peak Covid times for accepting an all-expenses paid trip (influencer style) to Mexico while her coworkers were quarantining. She also took some flack for liking a lot of Brittany Aldean's IG posts pertaining to 'Murica freedoms and right-wing ideology.
Think she said it was a surprise pop punk for everyone in studio because it was part of her clothing release, but it does make it annoying browsing the on demand rides
Kendall is a huge right wing nut job. She posts some really cringy shit on her Instagram all the time. And her obsession with aging is quickly fucking up her face.
You knew she was gonna have a huge issue with plastic surgery. Seems like Olivia has the same problem.
Emma will always be the GOAT and BAE. Kendall being a RWNJ sucks because I do like her and her understanding mental illness has always made me feel heard. I don’t take that many rides with her anymore because this stuff. Ally being a media whore doesn’t bother me that much.
Did a Hannah ride the other day and was sad to see she got her lips done. Guess it really shouldn’t be a surprise with them being mini celebrities, living in NYC.
Olivia has gone way over the top on plastic surgery, Kendall isn't quite there yet Kendall is an upper class blonde from Orange County so it kind of is what it is; I just try to ignore some of the RWNJ stuff. I don't follow any of the instructors on anything outside of the app
