I would have but I've got a set of 3,000 pages of medical records to review and I wasn't going to take those home. Already working from home tomorrow to smoke a brisket.
Somehow my flight still shows on time think I might get lucky. Hopefully nothing happens between SD and Dallas
just showing some of the effects of erosion even in a mild cat 1 storm, here's some houses falling into the ocean to make up for the A1A erosion not being newsworthy.
Well that's entirely misleading then Spoiler Yeah we stay at a house down there near the beach every year for Ga/Fl
I haven’t driven around personally but from what I saw some decent beach erosion but the flooding seemed to be not as bad
Industry is about to get gutted. Attorneys fees on top just got knee capped. this is going to backfire so badly and give some of the worst carriers free reign to deny/underpay pretty much every claim under 30k
I haven’t kept up with it, but from some quick reading it seems they’re also giving the DOI more teeth, which is a much more cost-efficient way to reign in bad actors than litigating small claims constantly. all this said I have complete faith in the Florida government to make it worse
Ian is the gift that keeps on giving. Really glad I was able to retain our very own CF3234 or none of this stuff would be getting fixed.
Make sure that CMU is thoroughly dried out (make them put a concrete moisture meter on it) before you put batting and/or drywall up or you will have biological growth there
Yes! They have machines running in there 24/7. The last pic I got yesterday already showed a lot of progress.
We are at an airbnb for a week while all this is being done. I think I got lucky and have a handyman ready to redo all of the walls/ceilings/insulation etc right away on 2/1 when we get the all clear from the remediation company. Then we will have it painted and floors redone. Just a huge pain in the ass especially with a barely 1 year old all over the place.
The company I sent to do the work is really good and doesn't scam insurance companies. I've sent them to 100+ houses in the last year or so and everyone raves about the quality of their work/professionalism.
that's a fine looking enclosure they built in that one photo. Some of the restoration companies / GCs I have to deal with around here could take some notes.
I got a quote on a pool house and they said it's 2x what it would be normally because everyone is on the west coast making triple the money.
I got CFs permission to be on the news next week regarding my insurance battles. I'll share the clip with you degenerates
