Dressing not stuffing Broccoli casserole Mac-n-cheese Mashed potatoes Cranberries Yeast rolls Sweet potatoes Turkey
honestly, I would burn your house down if you invited me and there wasn't a dish of mashed potatoes whose size roughly approaches the bird you're about to serve.
1. whipped potatoes (basically mashed potatoes with way more butter) 2. stuffing 3. autumn salad with maybe a little bit of the moldy cheese from the hors d'oeuvres plate 4. cranberries 5. green beans 6. dinner rolls i'm not really into mac & cheese or any other casserole type thing (sweet potatoes especially). and if the potatoes aren't nearly half butter, then (ordinary) mashed potatoes are like 5th on the ranking imo
33 years of Iowa thanksgivings and I’ve never seen cottage cheese make an appearance. Olives maybe show up on a pre-meal charcuterie board.
Green bean casserole when done right is so damn good. Sweet potatoes when done wrong are so damn bad. I’ll have both on my table in a few days and will eat both. Oh well

As for the rest I think we're having dressing some greens(mixed turnip/mustard/collard/bok Choy from the garden) and maybe turnips, deviled eggs, sweet potatoes. Squash? Idk. Real and canned cranberry sauce. Pumpkin and maybe pumpkin cranberry pie

Green bean casserole is great when it’s good but to many people think they can make it who absolutely can not and they are always the ones who bring it.
We did an early thanksgiving this year with extended family and I made brisket for the first time. The fam loved it.
On Friday night, I just want to eat green bean casserole out of one of the random plastic butter containers that my grandmother saved during the course of the year to avoid the risk that one of my relatives might not return her Tupperware.
Not doing our meal until December but stuffing waffles with potatoes and gravy the greatest combination
my gf gf is also df and it makes thanksgiving interesting but it’s kinda fun coming up with stupid recipes and seeing if it works without the g and the d
