Never enough oysters And it's six cornbread boxes. Whatever TF they are. If you know, you know. Real Gs don't need those specifics
Just finished up making my cranberries, the MIL wanted me to add pecans. Fuck outta here with your suggestions Marie Calendar.
My mom's table had all the straightforward staples but also included enchiladas. I remember every person who had never eaten T-day dinner with us being both surprised and happy to eat them.
Making Swedish crème with a cranberry lemon compote for desert cause jaboi don’t party with pecan or pumpkin pie
Oysters are probably my favorite food in the world. Raw, grilled, charbroiled, fried (in a poboy), any way you can give em to me. Never had a bad one, but I'm #builtdifferent
Fuck is wrong with you? I use my grandmother’s recipe. Cranberries, a diced apple, rasins, brown sugar, water, salt, apple cider vinegar.
I don’t pretend to have a recipe of my own, but our always had a small bit of horseradish and it was awesome.
I ended up compromising and roasted some pecans and coated them in cinnamon and brown sugar. The sweet crunch on top of the cranberries took them to the next level. A+ side. Dressing needed more salt, roast garlic cheddar mashed potatoes need work. They were a spur of the moment thing.
It’s not a side, but gravy is really unsung hero of Thanksgiving dinner. Them pan drippings and that giblet stock? Forget about it. That shit makes the dinner. If you’ve ever had to eat thanksgiving dinner at someone else’s house that serves gravy from a jar or a packet, you really come to appreciate how much more amazing the real stuff is. Today was a good gravy day.
Our gravy was a touch salty today. Still great on stuffing and mashed potatoes. Might have enhanced them.
I see. The key to avoiding making posts in the “family members around the holidays” thread is to just do away with the family style meal. Plate everything separately. Everyone gets their own bird. Can wander off and pick out their own TV to watch.
