watched the first season this weekend. really good show, but seriously depressed the shit out of me. ep 2 especially fucked me up.
so through 4. really like 2 and 4, liked 1 and hated 3. if i'm comparing it to prior seasons, it's not as good. on it's own, outside of 3, i'm enjoying it.
To me 5 was the weakest. By the end when we got the twist it was good but it dragged for the first 2/3. Also I liked the last episode but it was too long. All the others I really liked. I do agree it seems worse than previous seasons but then again they had more episodes so it might have been harder to keep the quality up.
Love this show. Wish more people had seen it, because there have been things that remind me of the show, but no one I'm with has ever seen it, and therefore has no idea what I'm talking about.
3,2,5,4,6,1 but those aren't totally firm. To me episode 2 & 3 were definitely the best but I could switch all the rest around. Might have to go and rewatch the first seasons but I thought this one was right there with them.
Still need to watch the finale (World Series has eaten up my nights this week) and rewatch episode 4 (went from tipsy to drunk during it and kinda forgot bits and pieces) but I have enjoyed the new episodes even if they're a step down from some of the best the show has done.
Through the first four so far. Can't remember a show that effects me like this. Need to take a short break after each one Spoiler 4 was amazing emotional gut punch then took the easy way out and completely shit the bed with that happy ending. Only really disappointment so far[\spoiler]
Binge watched all three seasons last weekend. Loved the show. Plentiful Scottish accents didn't hurt.
Not sure why netflix lists the most recent episodes first for me, hope I'm not watching it the wrong way. Enjoying it but it's quite disturbing.
there are some cool callbacks though. I almost shit my pants when Anyone Who Knows What Love Is (Will Understand) started playing in the White Christmas episode.
Ive watched them all as theyve been released, and so much time had been inbetween, that any callbacks or tie-ins when right over my head.
I loved having HBO stars on a couple of the episodes with Bron and Kelly MacDonald playing alongside the Waif. (Btw, I found the Waif hot as hell in BM, and the opposite in GoT)
Just recently watched it all, some of the episodes really depressed me but all of them for the most part make you think which is what I love with my shows/movies. really interesting
watched 5 episodes yesterday. kinda jumped around because other people watching had seen some. White Christmas and White Bear were fucking wild. Be Right Back was so uncomfortable but a crazy concept that had me . One girl went outside and sat on the balcony instead of finishing the last 10 minutes of the episode because she was so uncomfortable and we wouldn't turn it off The National Anthem was meh. and Fifteen Million Merits was stupid as fuck to me.
Does this mean you haven't watched Entire History of You? That's still my favorite episode. So damn good.
The Entire History of You is one of the greatest episodes in television history. Believe I remember reading a while back that one of the DeNiro's is making a movie out of it. Spoiler Fi is the scum of the fucking Earth, what a fucking whore. The Christmas episode is probably my favorite, following by Entire History of You and White Bear. All the episodes from the first two seasons are so fucked up. The only one I really can't remember anything about from the first two seasons is Be Right Back. First two seasons are just magnificent works of art.
Entire History of You was pretty wild. Social Media episode and Virtul Reality horror game was both pretty good too
Be Right Back was solid. It was the one where she gets a clone of her dead husband, if that jogs your memory.
Just typed this up in the Random Thoughts thread to kill time at work. Basic plot summary in parentheses because I can't always identify them by their titles and don't want to give any of them away to some one who hasn't seen them: 13. Waldo Moment (Cartoon bear) - I just never got hooked. Also, this one actually happened in real life. 12. National Anthem (Pig episode) - Just didn't do it for me. 11. Playtest (Realistic video game) - Very suspenseful but twice as long as it needed to be and disappointing ending. 10. Shut Up and Dance (Blackmail instructions) - Something about this rubbed me the wrong way. I think I wanted a better payoff at the end. Still good TV 9. White Bear (Shaming theme park) - I kind of groaned at the end. Not an awful episode but not nearly the best for me. Think its kind of overrated. 8. Fifteen Million Merits (Points system) - Cool idea but the plot never really hooked me. 7. Hated in the Nation (Bees) - Started slow, got very cool, then went way over the top for me. A little too much like a traditional cop show, and then way too crazy. 6. San Junipero (80s vacation episode) - Can't explain why I liked this one but I was really into it. Was unlike other episodes in a refreshing way. 5. Men Against Fire (Roach hunting) - Did not see the payoff coming at all and thought it was a great twist. Still a little over the top but I liked the idea. 4. Be Right Back (Recreation of the deceased) - Equal parts interesting, plausible, and gut wrenching. 3. Nosedive (Rating system) - Hit very close to home with the social commentary. 2. White Christmas (John Hamm mindfuck) - Very cool episode but moved a little slow at times. 1. The Entire History of You (Memory implants) - I loved this one. Absolutely brutal and great television. Tough to watch but very well done.
Nosedive was the one written by Rashida Jones right? But regardless, I need to watch S1 and S2 again, it's been a while and I barely remember some of these.
I never got around to watching the last three episodes of this show. after Shut Up and Dance I needed a break. this show drained me emotionally like no other I can think of. it's almost too much.
because Netflix produced season 3, but not the first two. none of the episode link up really except for some subtle callbacks though so it really doesn't matter what order you watch them in.
my favorite is White Christmas (episode 7), between season 2 and 3. I'm not sure how it shows up on Netflix. season one was my favorite season from what I've seen. as far as individual episodes go, other than 7 - 1, 3, 4 & 10 stick out as the best imo. I haven't watched 11-13 yet.
British show that is often described as the Twilight Zone for the tehnology age. Every single episode is a new story. Sometimes way in the future. Other times pretty much present day. And technology always plays a part. I'd go back to season 1 and start there. It's an awesome show.
