yes the whole point of that scene was that nobody had any choice but to back Aegon. Otto told them they weren't leaving the room without an answer and they weren't going to let anyone who wasn't on their side go anywhere.
He was the last one to kneel so basically a warning to all the others that if you even think about not backing Aegon this is what will happen.
I think it was more of Otto realizing he was gonna stand against Aegon with the other two that got hauled off and then saw through his eventual kneeling as a "okay i'm gonna do this just to leave the room and go tell the other team" and knew it wasn't sincere. Probably had him followed afterwards but it was pretty transparent and not just killing him for thinking twice.
sucks that we are going to have to wait until 2024 for season 2 i know it's a massive undertaking but they gotta get some of these shows out faster. a season each calendar year is not too much to ask.
Spoiler wrong sword, Blackfyre was lost somewhere in Essos. Bloodravens rival Bittersteel was believed to be in possession of the sword at the time of his death and was using the sword to legitimize the Blackfyre heirs
Spoiler which sword does Daemon have right now? That one is eventually found (not going to even type where or how it gets there in this thread)
They are peasants who realize they have very, very, very, very involvement in something important with the high folk. It’s an honor that will be told in their family circles for generations and they will support it.
They’ve done a great job of turning Sir Cuntstruck into a villain. Can’t wait for him to get got. My man needs anger management.

The flash forwards really served their purpose. I feel as invested as I did several seasons into GoT.
Love Daemon much more recently Popeye thinking he could get the prince off his dragon without killing him to take his eye was a bold strategy
caught up on ep 9 (loved it) and the finale (fine) tonight felt like the ending was a little predictable but it was otherwise good. also felt like i spent 10 episodes waiting for the princess + her family to fuck some usurpers up and now i'm waiting for season 2 on it (if it happens at all).
That finale was like a slow handjob with a couple seconds where it speeds up and you think there’s about to be a payoff, only to be told that their arm is tired and they go to bed.
Why the fuck are doing a 2 year break? These fucking ppl couldn't have the foresight to start S02 already?
IDK, might be a spoiler if explained...but how does this work? Daemon has a dragon already. If he "claims" this new dragon does he have two? Can he give that dragon to someone else to ride or does he just control it.
daemon quickly explains this in the episode. He runs through the rosters of both sides dragons, and then goes through the others and where they are. He also talks about the eggs he has. All he’s doing is trying to ensure his side has more dragons. Not trying to claim another for himself personally
Right, he explained all of the once and it would be 14-3 or something like that. I wasn't sure how it worked if he could control more than 1 or if he could ride two, etc. So he's really just trying to get them friendly to him via singing so he be friends and get them on his side. Slight spoiler Spoiler did just read on the wiki that Jace apparently calls for all dragon riders at some point in the near future, I guess these riders come and help officially claim that dragons that Deamon is I guess seducing
Spoiler yes. That happens. Also, the dragon he was singing to is the second largest one behind vhagar. The others are even smaller. Vhagar is fucking massive, and a veteran of tons of battles.
Here’s a spoiler free size comparison of the known dragons. Dany’s three are through the published books, so they obviously get bigger like in the show Spoiler Arrax (Luke’s dragon) is on the bottom line, you can see how much smaller he is than vhagar that just bit him in half. vermithor (top line) is the one daemon was just singing to. balerion and meraxes were the other two, along with vhagar, who were part of aegon’s conquest. Only vhagar is still alive of the three I’d recommend not googling names as some will be spoilers for this show.
Spoiler I hope we get a whole episode dedicated to the seeds trying to ride them. Especially sheep steeler
Yeah, knew he was big, as it has been explained a good bit....but damn he's huge. Assume partly age too. So another question, that might be a spoiler needed IDK. When someone dies their dragon b/c's available. Aemond being smart got that big dragon ASAP. Daughters were mad "that's my mom's dragon". Is there supposed to be any typical grace period? Just a free for all? Daughters seemed too young to get a big dragon at that time.
I don’t think there’s any code. the dragon has to bond with the rider as well. Vhagar could have rejected aemond (or simply killed him.) the bond is for life. No one else can ride a dragon whose rider is alive. Dragons live a lot longer than humans, so some have a handful of riders over their lives. Viserys dragon (one of the three from aegons conquest) died, but viserys never tried to mount another one. the targs would put an egg in their kid’s cribs to try and start the bonding early to increase the chance of the bond.
I don't think that answered my main question of is there some honorary period after someone dies before someone can mount them. IDK these royalty all have really dumb rules and honor. Like the queen that never was not just ending all this shit in the Dragon Pit (yeah wouldn't have made a good book) or The Baratheons saying let the boy leave b/c he was just a messenger. Some weird thing like that. Also, did Deamon name Seasmoke? It'll be interesting how the show handles that since Leanor isn't technically dead...even though I believe the books assumed he died. I do understand the books are told as legond or folklore from a few sides vs actual facts.
I don’t think there are any current rules or guidelines. The targs are the only ones who can ride them. This is because they were dragon lords (but they were a lower family there, not a powerful one) back in old Valyria. So it’s a small circle of people who could possibly even claim a dragon to ride. Throw in the fact that they try to bond with an egg as a baby, the circle is even smaller.
Spoiler: An actual spoiler sea smoke gets ridden again. Either the cannon changes, or laenor ends up dead.
