Guys, we’re staying at The Cohen Loft this March, it’s fancy and nice-looking. Hope you guys understand that I’m an important person.
What weekend. SEC tournament is March 13-17 and it will be packed with Kentucky and Tennessee looking good. Next weekend is opening round of Big Dance obviously.
Nothing yet. We get in Thursday evening, we’ll start drinking and probably head to the Honky Tonk early Friday because my wife likes it there. Want to get reservations at Husk Friday or Saturday, but it won’t allow for eight people on the site. Also heard to checkout the rooftop at The Westin, but other than that, I haven’t made it that far.
tons of different hotel bars on rooftops that might be worth it. Not sure which one is "best." The Ryman is awesome. I'd do something with that if you could make it work. Not sure what shows are in town that weekend. Tours are always possible. If you are free Friday for lunch, I'd hit up an epic lunch spot that is normally closed on the weekend. AKA, go to fucking Arnold's. Also, are the Preds in town? Because the games are fun as hell.
Sat March 9 11:00 AM #3 Tenn at # 12 Aub TBA #1 Duke at #14 UNC TBA # 2 Mich at #8 Mich St Sun March 10 3:30 #15 Wisc at #13 Ohio St
Arnold's Friday lunch. Monell's for Saturday AM breakfast. Go early to beat the lines. do it. get fat
Capstone 88 BIGASSTITTIES Daddy Rabbit if any of you are interested in shooting clays and meeting celebraties, members of the USA shooting team, etc you should check this out. If you want more information DM me and I'll give you a code that is good for money off a team or individual shooting spot.
I blame Clay Travis for the new name of what used to be Paradise Park. Downtown Sports Club? I'm sure that will suck.
When I was home from college on breaks we would go to this shit hole called Fuel that was a couple blocks off of broadway, maybe on 2nd. $10 all you can drink domestic bottles from like 6-9pm.
Germantown Depot set to close. They haven’t announced it yet I don’t think but my friend who bartends there told me last night.
Germantown Depot closes two of its three concepts After denying rumors about impending closure last week, the team at Germantown Depot did in fact close two of its three concept last weekend. Taco Cantina and The Trolley have closed, but The Saloon and outdoor areas remain open. According to the Nashville Business Journal, the Cantina and Trolley buildings will be remodeled and repurposed. The Germantown Depot complex first opened just over a year ago.
Anybody flown or familiar with BNA since the shutdown? Have to drop the BFF off early Thursday and just looking into it
It's still super easy to fly out of. It's all media hype right now. Major airports were understaffed and backed up prior to the shutdown.
Thanks. Of course the bff bought into it. After I posted I saw an article that said the wait time yesterday at 8am was 10 minutes
If you click on the restaurant, it will tell you what the dish is. Seems like the traditional places are doing regular dishes at a lower price. I did stop at Germantown Pub for Taco Week. They had hot fish tacos. The fish was smaller than a chicken nugget. So I'm expecting their Hot Chicken Nachos to be 4 chips, 2 chicken nuggets, 1 jalapeno slice, and a dollop of queso.
It’s my personal favorite but I have heard that Taj out on Nolensville Pike is one of the best as well. Really want to try it.
Recs for a quality birthday cake while we’re in town for my wife’s b-day? Don’t really want to travel super far from downtown, but I’ll do what I have to.
Bitches love "nothing bundt cakes" Gigi's cupcakes isn't a bad idea either. Sweet 16 bakery in east Nashville is good too
Looked up Baked on 8th just now, too. Seemed to be popular. I like the cupcake idea, though. Easier for the group.
Are you just looking for a bakery to sit down for a slice of cake? There are some pretty good places that will deliver an entire if you have an Airbnb or whatnot.
Looking for a cake for ten people and we’re staying at these lofts downtown, so that delivery option sounds pretty great.
