four cats have been drafted, all to their hometown teams Felix is from KC Deuce is from DFW Hayes is from Tampa Brents is from Indy
Penn St transfer, solid ‘21, injured most of ‘22, not a great blocker, definitely a Y TE For as well as he tested he doesn’t look like that type of athlete on tape
The Rams look like they're going to end up taking 10 players in the last 100 picks of the draft, and will end up with 14 total picks if they don't trade either of their last two seventh rounders. That's got to be a weird process where you want your picks to make the team from an ego/cost standpoint, but having 10+ rookies in your 53 man roster means you probably suck.
the only position that ages less gracefully than a workhorse running back is 80s hair metal lead singer
I was looking over some best available lists and was reminded of this post because this young man (Anthony Johnson Jr.) is still on the board. Slight miscalculation.
so that DE from Army went from being mocked in the 1st during the season to undrafted? something weird going on there
He’s undersized, tested poorly and his production wasn’t great this year? I don’t think it’s anything other than a preseason misevaluation.
Kinda surprised he didn’t get drafted he provides nothing but pass rushing but was pretty good for us and I tight he had a decent frame.
Liked Zach Evans to the Rams, and Sean Tucker signing with the Bucs as an UDFA. Could see either of those guys getting meaningful touches in the second half of the season.
The B1G had 56 and actually had more in the first two rounds (20-17). That's got to be closer than it's been in a while.
The B1G numbers should be really high again next year. Both UM and OSU should both have 10+ guys with so much coming back.
Rams depth chart is absolutely horrible, would be surprised to see them finish with a top 3 pick next year
Agree that his older brother is awesome. I coached Darius in high school. Was getting concerned when he started falling, but I’m glad he got picked by a solid organization. I think he can be a day one contributor on special teams and hopefully work his way into the defensive backfield rotation.
btw yesterday was a blast but KC may have been a little more reasonable with crowd management than other cities due to having it in such a large open space. the memorial and station area was set up really well for it. there were basically no lines for bathrooms or concessions and they had a lot of local vendors out serving food. it was all expensive but that’s to be expected. Verizon had extra towers set up and I had ultra wideband service the whole time w no problems.
we also eventually got into a covered area w seats and an open bar just by being cute so that helped our experience a lot
The crowd on Thursday was a nightmare, especially in the 2 hours leading up to and the first hour of the first round. I think we waited 40 minutes for a beer at the Bud Light tent on the north lawn. Went with a few friends and ended up leaving around pick 20. Went back down Friday with my s/o and it was much better, more like what you described. Not that I’ll ever likely go to another draft, just skipping the first night is definitely the play.
