The owner is demolishing it. Yes, if they “took” the house by preventing the owner from demolishing it, they would have to pay for it.
I get their frustration but the wheels of justice move really slow and, I would argue, have to when you are talking about potentially putting another life on the line. The thing about murder is you are never going to get a tit for a tat, no justice served is ever going to be equal. We all want BK to get fucked, but if one sees a flaw in the system we have to work to patch that gap. That’s simply never easy in cases like this. The method they used to hone in on BK is already incredibly controversial (I’m for it) and one could argue that a big fuck up using that method would only take a small group from trying to get laws in place to squash using it going forward.
Idk about all that. Dude left the knife sheath. Multiple cameras saw his car fleeing the scene. DNA from a 23 & me connected him. Same car, DNA from the Pennsylvania home. Seems like a medium easy case plus the star witness recognizing his big-ass eyebrows
Lady who lived on the property we own before us died by flipping her zero turn mower on top of her and no one found her for like weeks and that seemed to help drive buyer traffic down a bit. Her dogs peed all over the floor and chewed up a bunch of fixtures, so that helped the price a good sum. Aside from her walking around on the porch at night, seems alright
Good question. House across the street from me is for sale and was on fire 1.5 years ago and the hole the firefighters punched in the gable end attic is still there. Looking forward to the engineers report sullying the deal.
Not sure if a murder has to be legally disclosed, but The Banks neighbors sure have to disclose a fire and roof punch.
used to work in a brokerage in college. it's...complicated and there's like half a dozen varieties of the law on this matter depending on which state. the overwhelming majority of states do not require a seller to disclose but if you ask they cannot lie or hide the facts. this in particular would be called a "material fact" which is a fact which, when given, could change the decision of a buyer (so if a home was in a flood zone, for example, that'd be a material fact). some states consider a murder/death in the home a material fact, others do not hence the different laws surrounding the subject. if a realtor lies about a material fact or fails to disclose a material fact, they will get their ass nailed to the wall in court.
The previous owners of my house had an elderly uncle that lived with them but died. Unsure if at my house tho
I loosely know a lady who runs an RV rental place that's on a like 2 acre lot around a house, right on the interstate but used to be out in the country type place. I went to rent one from her years ago and she was running her office out of one of the RVs. I asked her why she didn't just set up an office in that house. And she told me it was something to do with a murder that had happened in that house and nothing/nobody was allowed to occupy it for a certain # of years. I didn't really ask any follow up questions
Probably not, but me and my dog go full Scooby/Shaggy in the night in this big ass 120 year old renovated barn. Shit creaks, man. I "don't believe in ghosts" from 6AM-11PM but man somethin don't feel right out here after hours and yeah I thought I saw someone on the deck once
Should I call out the name of this spirit or is that a surefire way to make it mess with me way more?
Some say if you mix oil and grass clippings together at midnight and repeat “bad boy mowers” 3 times you can hear her cutting and giggling in the distance.
"The north lawn is perfect, he never let's it get more than 3 1/4" high" A ghastly look came over her as she told him "no one's mowed the north lawn since 1897"
