I'd rather roll the dice with Beck and see if you can get him to his '23 form, upside is much higher he also could suck and throw 3 picks vs ND week 1 but I just don't think you are winning anything with Finn Beck on campus today or tomorrow according to gabriella
I'll take the guy who had UGA in the top 10 the last two seasons over a gamble from Toledo. Mateer was the only 1st round upside gamble out there and we missed.
Can we just put it out there that the recruiting combo of Mario and Hanna Cavinder is completely unmatched Sure the potentially record breaking NIL doesn’t hurt
Quite happy, the Gopher fanbase is not happy that he is leaving. Defense took a step up this season from where the Gopher defense was in 2023 in Joe Rossi's final season He generally runs an attacking, aggressive defense, but not a complicated one. He's stated he doesn't want his players thinking too much and to be more instinctual (we know how much of a concern that has been under multiple different DC's over the past 10-15 years). Players were rarely out of position - most of the time teams had to out-execute the Gophers if they wanted to have success on offense. The times the defense struggled and got out of position, they occurred mostly in games where they got little help from the offense and the defense wore down as the game went on (Iowa game comes to mind here). I will say his rep was of him being one of the least effective recruiters on the staff, but I'd rather have a tactician than a recruiter at DC, especially at Miami.
looks like the greatest QB of all time just lost another post season game. I guess Mario ruined him so he could be the only coach to say he won post season games with that pants shitter.
Don’t care in the slightest. Get the kids coached up and with a good scheme. Mario will do the crootin
Another testament to Guidry’s awfulness You have two monsters in Bain and Mesidor with proven track records….and decide to mess with both of them all year long and completely destroy their seasons
As frustrating as this past season was…gotta say how nice it is to finally have a QB from our school to root for in the nfl Cam was a leader from day one and pulled his team out of multiple games they had no business winning. I look forward to him doing the same in the league
I’m obviously biased but I think he can be a high end QB in the NFL assuming he can finally get the gunslinger coached out of him. He learns to check down rather than extend hopeless plays, the sky is the limit.
I don’t see much difference between him and Daniels coming out and he’s pretty controlled it. Also to be completely honest once he was no longer pressing because he was trying to win the Heisman I don’t think there were any issues taking what the defense gave him in the WF/SU/ISU games.
Yeah I’m really not understanding the gunslinger label when he definitely got rid of the over-aggressive stupid throws towards the end of the year I mean he had 15 tds and 2 picks in his last five games
NIL has finally stopped 7th round management and Rosenhaus from convincing our underclassmen to declare for the draft before they are ready. Feels kinda nice.
3 years ago cooper, mesidor, and any other junior worth half a shit would have been in the draft and then going in the 7th or UDFA
none of us knew that Jaden Harris was going to be dropped on us in place of 20 Taylor would have been nice too even if he was a lazy twitch streamer
Usually don’t care about stars but find this shit to be mind blowing The consensus #2, #6, and #23 rated QBs this past cycle
Honestly who cares. The kid looks really good. Looking forward to see what he does in the spring. But yeah. That ranking makes less than zero sense.
What seems to have happened is that Lucas transferred like a normal student would and the NCAA simply said, yup he’s eligible to play.
