Visit China. They'll stamp two pages for you each visit. Spoiler Fuckers gonna make me have to get a new passport before it expires. Should have gotten the 52-pager
Nah, just a great joke about you going to China for pedo sex. I am not that smart or funny... but that many trips to China could raise a flag
Clearly? Or is that just an excuse we make for people who commit crimes that damage our agendas? Not everyone who does something stupid is mentally ill. In fact, most aren't. Sometimes people are just pieces of shit.
“Modern day lynching” “Media gang bang” We’re living in the fallout zone of social media. You can’t get your message out without leveraging the superlative or otherwise outlandish position.
At first glance, 16 felonies seems pretty excessive. On the other hand, it’s not like he just made up a crime and filed a fake report. Dude planned out and paid for a staged attack and then went on a media blitz and really caused the Chicago PD a huge amount of expense. I’m not sure there’s an analogous hoax to this one.
Wondering what law enforcement peeps think of this. Throwing the book at him to get him to confess and cut a deal?
I’m sure he has some rather frustrated folks in the Chicago PD over him sending them on a wild goose chase. They have enough evidence to charge him with 16 felonies....and I imagine they won’t decide to give him any breaks and “only” pursue some of them
FWIW heres the copy of the indictment https://dig.abclocal.go.com/wls/documents/2019/030819-wls-smollett-indictment-doc.pdf
I thought it was standard practice to charge the defendant with everything they can technically get and then let the Prosecutors decide how to plead it down and or what to take to court?
Innocent until proven guilty. Have they ruled on whether or not cameras will be present in the courtroom?
Assuming something changed with the African brothers? They seemed to be the key that tied this all together
Is there any chance they decided he was mentally unfit? I’m just curious as this seems like an odd choice
I am really struggling how to rationalize a prosecutor seeking and securing an indictment on 16 felonies and then dropping the case within a month. I’m utterly dumbfounded.
