Wrestling is a different beast. How many NFL fans were crying on twitter about low level players getting cut this week?
Sports fandom is a different kind of crazy. Apples and oranges. Sports extreme fandom is all about memorizing stats, hating rivals to an unhealthy degree, and living and dying with every win/loss. Pro Wrestling extreme fandom is more like pop culture extreme fandom, like how some Star Wars fans get legit emotionally distraught when someone craps on their favorite movie or character or show, etc, or how much die hard Marvel fans were coping during the post-Endgame slump. In terms of personalities (not necessarily the things they love, but the intensity and the way they fanboi over their favorite thing), the venn diagram barely overlaps between real sports and pro wrestling fandoms, but it's basically a single circle representing the uber nerd.
somewhere along the line a big section of wrestling fans convinced themselves that they were friends with the wrestlers
Dumbass, the Governor literally said it in a video he posted on Twitter then later deleted after Post wrestling sent that Tweet "So get this, in Philly, we’ve got the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, we got the FIFA World Cup, we got WrestleMania, we got a little golf action, the PGA Championship and if you go over to Pittsburgh, we’ve got the NFL Draft and a lot more cool stuff happening all across Pennsylvania in the year 2026 for USA 250."
so the tweet is misleading and incorrect… you are admitting to it and yet defending and doubling down on it.
How's he going to find tweets that are negative about wwe or that he can spin negatively even if they aren't if he completely wipes them from his feed? Don't you know wrestling fans who live on Twitter love making fun of the product they "don't watch" more than they like talking about the one they do
guys it's opening weekend at least wait for your teams to shit the bed before revving in hostile noles you get a pass
This really puts in perspective how short joshi wrestlers tend to be. Giulia was one of the tallest girls in Stardom. But in this picture she looks to be nearly the same height as Iyo, who is on the short side in WWE
That would be weird because he's in a storyline right now after like 2 years of doing nothing and seems like he's going to get pushed. Wonder if they do stuff like this to pop themselves by messing with the sheets during the Holiday weekend.
COVID’s been making a comeback locally, hopefully we’re not hitting another big wave of it like yesteryear
Oh shit, I forgot Joe Tessitore started calling Raw tonight. I guess the fact that I didn't notice until they showed him on camera is a good thing?
Well before it was Cole and he's been good since Vince left. The point was Joe didn't stand out in any negative way, which I'd say is a good thing for someone that's never called wrestling before (as far as I know).
Joe Tess was solid, nothing more nothing less and it was his first broadcast. Also, Nigel not being the #1 heel commentator in either AEW/WWE is a disgrace, dude is so gifted at that role.
Cool ass wrestling moment. Suzuki and Shibata had a match in Japan at Takayamania, a benefit event for Yoshihiro Takayama, who has been paralyzed from the neck down since 2017 after suffering an in-ring injury. Then afterward they brought Yoshihiro Takayama in the ring to honor him.
I thought he was outstanding with everything outside the ring. Setting up story, transitions etc... His in ring pbp was rough, but its also his first night and he should improve. Also needs to work on energy levels for moments, he missed a few.
