They had a social media post implying they'd be opening a new location somewhere in Hoover. Not sure if they'd go back to Patton Creek or what exactly but not sure why with the Vestavia location where it is.
gus’s hot dogs on 4th not pictured were the grapico and sweet heat chips i downed on the car ride from gus’s
How long you in town for? A top ~five Bham poster is hosting trivia at mom’s the 18th! This is a HUGE opportunity for all Bham posters!
just until friday sadly or i’d be there. but i’ll be back later this month around christmas. if anyone is going to Saturn to see Sunn O))) tonight feel free to say hi
Power has been out since about midnight. Rations are dwindling. I will continue to shitpost until my battery runs dry and my last breath is taken. Remember me well.
Looks like a small tornado went through Homewood near Samford and crossed lakeshore. Vestavia took a severe storm direct hit. Bham airport had a 54mph wind gust. Pretty wild evening.
We got a limb swing in from my neighbors pine and take out part of my roof and another neighbors. Edgewood got hammered!
Life hack: get lit at a tacky Christmas party and dinner at Bottega and sleep through the storms. Then wake up the next morning and read about them in the Birmingham thread
I slept through them somehow for the most part. I thought the hail was going to shatter my rear windows at one point which was the only time it got me up.
I woke up to a tree clipping the back of my house. Thought the big one out front squared us straight on so I sprinted to the kids room. Long story short I woke up at 6 with a 7 year olds foot in my groin and a 4 year olds butt on my head. Everyone’s safe but looks like daddy’s getting a new roof!
I grew up in Birmingham. Everyone in our neighborhood watched football all Saturday. Church Sunday morning, lunch at a Mexican restaurant. NFL until you fall asleep on the couch. A Birmingham tradition since 1994.
I hate to inform you that the Birmingham thread does not recognize your neighborhood as growing up in Birmingham. Kindly take it to the Shelby County thread.
Will I be able to buy alcohol on Sundays in the Shelby County thread? Can't believe it took them until 2016 to change that. Driving to Jefferson County was always a pain in the ass when I was back in town.
I worked with the guy who got that done. He was a banker at Regions and was also Columbiana’s rep in the State House. He wanted the Bud distributor in Harpersville to be a client so he worked to get the law changed.
I would like to have a bottle of liquor delivered to a client's office for Christmas. Is there a company that does that in Birmingham? I don't think we have anything similar in Huntsville.
Don't think that's legal yet but I could be wrong. I'll do it for you though if you PM me and the client's office isn't difficult to get to.
I know you can get beer and wine delivered, but someone over 21 has to be there with an ID. I’m not sure who does liquor though. Door Dash has liquor options but I’ve never done it. Barves probably charges less of a service fee.
My service fee is dictated by distance from my house I have to travel. It could be as little as no fee at all or as great as one tall bourbon drink at original Otey's (and two tall bourbon drinks if at Otey's Homewood).
Hahaha, I wouldn’t ask any of y'all to do it but will gladly pay for the help. Duece knows the guy well and I’m sure Barves knows him also. Actually, now that I think of it, one of our mutual friends works in the same building (I think) so I might just see if he can help.
You will all be happy to know that I successfully delivered liquor to Brandon Chicken client… at his granddaughter’s birthday party… at a Baptist church.
happy to report my car was collateral damage lol tryna upload video of my car but keep getting error message smh
It pains me to say it, but Little Betty was real real bad. Service. Food. All of it. $50 says the place doesn’t last a year. The kicker was that my wife told them it was our anniversary, so they brought us glasses of champagne after we arrived. Nice touch even though I hate champagne (they couldn’t know that). 25 minutes after asking for the check, imagine my surprise to see $30 worth of champagne on the bill.
