I love Automatic, but it’s insanely loud for a meeting. OG Bottega is probably the play. Current wouldn’t be a bad call, either.
Thanks. I can always count on wes tegg to give actually useful advice. That being said, does Milo’s take reservations?
Looks like Bottega dining room not open on Tuesdays. Little Betty looks like a safe play. Not sure how Current would go over with this crowd.
There’s some really cool shit on the wine list that you don’t often see around here, but the markup is significant.
Yes I wasn't kidding when I recommended it. I think it's a perfect place for an expensive work dinner.
I've always had good meals there, but the servers are often weird (like, in service style...it's like, this is not a Hooters...or burger joint) and it has to be the noisiest downtown restaurant because of the hard surfaces. Sadly wouldn't ever rec because of that. Bar La Fete might be an OK follow up. Avine used to be OK but again loud, and I haven't visited in a few years.
You’ll have to forgive us, we are used to posts at 4:37pm that say things like “need a recommendation for our tenth wedding anniversary tonight.”
After nine “Milo’s” posts, a place that closed six months ago, and eight places not open on Mondays, we’ll get him a useful rec three days later.
Every time I go there to buy liquor, trying to find a parking spot certainly makes me question my life choices.
I assume he’s just a Local Baptist looking to score some liquor but trying to avoid being seen. Like the guy outside a football game with a need tickets sign. You know he doesn’t need the tickets he’s selling them.
He was going on about all the horrible things he’d done (beating his wife, porn addiction, drugs, etc.) and that everyone needs to repent. Sorry you were a piece of shit, bro, but don’t ruin my evening over it. I thought about calling the non-emergency police line, but I’m sure someone at Sol y Luna or the Grand Bohemian already handled it. He was loud as shit.
Right at the pivotal point of this work dinner, Oranjello walks in with Chacos on, a gasp rises up amongst the restaurant, the folks at the table see his feet, everyone is disgusted , the mood turns sour, no one can do business in the midst of those horrific claw feet, all deals are off and an impasse is reached.
My buddy just sent me a couple of air bnbs for a golf trip... are these general locations ok? Don't really care about proximity to stuff but he's suggested places in the absolute worst parts of various cities in the past.
Naw I don't even know honestly. Going to play some rtj courses and try to hit the new par 3. Quick trip.
I think a few years ago I asked you guys about a place that turned out to be a side room at a karate studio in a rough part of town. Last year we went to Huntsville and stayed at a place that had an alarmingly high rate of sex crimes committed in the vacinity.
