Wife just got an Infiniti QX80 and we love it. Was really close to getting the Volvo XC90. That’s a beaut as well.

I can’t argue any of these points, but as I mentioned earlier, I can’t do minivan.

If it's your ego that's getting in the way, I would remind you that, now that you have kids, it's not about you. Wife was adamant in 2004 that we get an SUV instead of a minivan ("We are NOT a minivan family!") but every SUV I looked at was big on the outside and just too fucking small on the inside (and more expensive for less space). 160K miles later the Odyssey has never had a major issue, and the kids prefer riding in it to the wife's Lexus ES350. You can stretch out, you can ferry your kids with their friends, you'll always have room for your luggage, etc. And even our 2005 model has/had 265HP, so it's not gutless.

Take one for the team and schedule a test-drive now.

You should probably be good on major items for a couple years on a Range Rover, but it would probably be a good idea to get a 5 yr 60k warranty if you buy one. Then when you hit 85k miles get rid of it before you get the $5,000+ service repairs.

The lease on my Murano is up in December (currently at 18k miles) so I started looking at vehicles. Really want this:
    upload_2019-7-12_13-34-47.png

Leases on them are ~$400/month effective cost.

I'm friends with Owner of a local Nissan dealer and he's trying to find me a good deal on a new Murano or Titan. If I wanted to be intelligent I'd just refinance the Murano I currently have, but don't that happens.

The Raptor is what I want to get. I have a couple dealerships I have talked to and that on is my favorite. I "think" I have a pretty good idea what the invoice cost was on the truck. The benefit is the 2020 models are available for pre-order fairly soon. So I expect they will want to get the 19 off the lot.

My truck is the same as Bertwing's, its an 08 GMC Sierra Denali. My problem is it has 160,000 miles on it. KBB is between 11-14. I had it priced at 15k to see what I got and didn't really get many offers. I dropped it to 12,995, and I have had issues with buyers being shady. I updated the ads for it and am hoping to sell it in the next 30 days. Best part is I have an old Jeep I can drive until I get the price I want on the Raptor. I don't have to jump to make a purchase once I sell it.

That’s hilarious. My wife said the exact same thing when we test drove the QX80 against a Tahoe & Denali. They weren’t comparable.

The base cost is about 49-50k without the options.

I want the 802a package which adds about 10k to the price with a few other things. There is usually about 5-9k of profit baked into the MSRP. With Raptor, up until this year, the demand was higher than they could produce, so dealerships were all trying to sell them over MSRP. Now you are seeing dealerships going the other direction. In Houston near the end of the month, they had a dealership offering 6k off MSRP. So there is some flexibility out there.

400 horsepower, great technology, and i got the tech and performance package so it has 21 inch wheels which look pretty cool. Tons of room and even though it's all wheel drive it's intelligent AWD so it's in rear wheel drive most of the time. Tons of cargo room as well.

Sitting in a car dealership right now for my wife. She’s looking at Grand Cherokees, Volvo XC60 or 90, maybe an Explorer or 4Runner. All I know is I hate this process already and we just started.

Looked at the Grand Cherokee Summit before we bought the Explorer. The V8 Hemi is nice and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the technology was in the Jeep. My mother in law and sister in law just bought Grand Cherokees.

And the process does suck. I hated it.

My dad loves the car buying process for some very odd reason. He does not make a ton of money, and yet he has purchased and sold somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 vehicles in his life. He is not a dealer, btw. Some models, and even some specific cars, he has bought MULTIPLE TIMES.

I told her we were going only to take test drives. Had our 5 year old daughter with us. I decided to sit out the test drive and try to entertain my daughter while they were driving. Fell asleep sitting up and woke up, looked over and my wife was sitting down at the desk doing paperwork.

I have always wanted a Porsche 964 ('89-'93 911). However these models have shot up exponentially in price in recent years and base models are going for $40-50k.

The 964 turbos (like the one below and the car from Bad Boys) are going for upwards of $140k. Such a gorgeous car though.

Have a 15 Sierra Denali with 80k miles on it, the fucker is in the shop yet again, this time for what I think is the transmission temperature sensor - that’s what the consensus online seems to be for the check engine light code I got.

All of this on top of having to replace the AC condenser last summer, having to get the sunroof fixed when the fucker got stuck partially open, fixing the driver alert seat motor, and my navigation/compass doesn’t work because the shark fin antenna on the roof is known to sometimes get water in it & short out...only reason I haven’t fixed it is because I use Waze on my phone for navigation instead.

If this transmission issue isn’t under the power train warranty (it should be), I may be dumping this thing & moving to Ford or Ram.

It’s the 996, which hasn’t spiked in value like more popular models. 6spd manual, decent miles, interior seems to be in great shape. Just terrified of the upkeep and repairs.
