i dont mind it. there have been a lot of strange people randomly join the party over the years. TrustyPatches do you remember that guy you played ff14 with who joined up and was just...i dont even know how to describe it. he joined. immediately sent everyone friend requests. was weird. next day he joined and started a sob story about how another party had blocked him. patches called him out on being weird. then we all blocked him. good times, good times.
This guy was a psychopath tbh. He had a weird reputation on ff14 but at the time we had only met and did a few things and he was just on my FL with no interaction. The day he started wailing on his “so called Friends” that blocked him in a party chat full of people he barely knew I had to give him some hard truths about life and human interaction and I never heard from him again
Was I on that one? I’ve had a weird experience like that before on Destiny where it was one weird person that wasn’t always in the group and they went on some weird tangent.
I honestly cannot recall but it’s possible. I know CUtigers was there as well and it seems like there might’ve been others.
We had a guy come in once and just start dropping the N word left and right. And one of the guys we play with is african american. We told him that was not cool and he continued saying it was okay. That he had black friends and they didn't mind. Was quite the experience.
Had a weird one in an lfg once. It was a kid who was barking out all the orders. Granted he was good but this kid was taking it super serious, so if anyone went down he’d freak out. Also, his dad was watching him play and could be heard in the background encouraging him and whatnot and the kid would shush him and tell him to shut up multiple times and you could hear the dad apologizing for talking to much.
I used to be that guy to some extent during Destiny 1 raids. My wife finally told me that she was going to stop playing with me and I calmed down. We had a regular raid group that started calling me Hitler.
Come on back, there are some new raids to run. The newest one is a lot of fun. I don’t know how much of the old group is still around but I’d love to get everybody together for a raid sometime and to catch up.
On pc right now. All my classes are 1250+. Loaned my Xbox to a buddy because his fried a couple months ago, but he has a Series X now so as soon as I get mine back I’ll be hopping on. Wife is already playing a couple nights a week with some of the old crew in preparation. Just waiting until I get my box back so I can join in. Should be good after the first of the year.
They said '21 so I'm honestly not expecting it until Witch Queen. But would be cool if it was sooner. Not that I really know anyone that plays on PC but still. We did the first raid challenge last night. Not too bad. Got double loot and I of course got double class items. This raid hates me when it comes to loot. Also, we have ran it probably 10 times how at least and haven't seen the exotic drop yet.
What’s good to run for Destiny now? Haven’t gotten any of the new exotics or anything but got 4 days off with no wife or kid so figured it’s cyberpunk or this
What's your light level? Today's 1250 legendary LS is ridiculously easy to speed run in 5ish minutes or less (Witherhord, energy of your choice (Gnawing Hunger w/Overload mod, and Falling Guillotine with Stasis subclass & the Overload grenade/refresh mods)
without considering raid weapons: izanagi/witherhoard, ikelos smg, falling guillotine sventh seraph ar, first in last out, lament izanagi/witherhoard, martyrs retribution, seventh seraph saw a good overall build i like for those of us who struggle with survivability: devour felwinters helm reactive pulse lucient blade or another arc charged with light global reach taking charge wrath of rasputin if using marty, anything else if not. no arc warmind mods.
I need to grind for the sniper, finish kills for the Hawkmoon. Also need to do the dungeon for the xenophage.
Get Lament as soon as you can. I knocked it out in a couple hours solo. But I was around 1230 light level.
I think I am about to get back into Destiny, but haven't played in probably 2 years. How fucked am I?
There’s a good amount of cool content awaiting. Some of the mod changes may take a little time to get familiar with but they’ve recently been simplified and are easy to navigate once you get used to it. 2 raids and 2 dungeons (3 man activity that’s somewhere between a nightfall and a mini raid) were added in that time too as well as Europa & the return of the Moon & Cosmodrome
Deep Stone Crypt is the best raid they've done in D2. Albeit a little bit easy. But challenge mode and going after the triumphs helps with that a bit.
Mods are perks that enhance the way your character plays. Some impact your weapons and increase the weapons targeting or reload speed for example. Others increase the amount of ammo you can carry or increase the ammo drop rate for specific weapon types. Others are general mods that increase your character’s over mobility, damage resistance, recovery etc.
Yeah just a mixup. I think the length is about right. I don't need those super long raids. I definitely prefer it over Garden. I hated the boss fight on that one. I've already ran DSC more times that Garden or Crown of Sorrow combined. I didn't care for either of those and the loot was lackluster so really made me dislike them. With a little bit of a luck I'll have the Descendant title complete tomorrow. Although it's unlikely. I need the helmet and the exotic to drop.
