70$ for forsaken and annual pass... i'll need to know more about annual pass before buying that. might also just wait on reviews of forsaken before jumping in, but it does look good overall.
Lot to take in but it looked pretty great to me. Hopefully they aren't being too hyperbolic with the comments about "going too far" and "breaking the game" with the power of the new weapons. It's what can make the game great. Price is about what was expected. TTK was $40 and we didn't get anything else that year. This is something the size of TTK plus 3 more content drops. Then we'll do it all again next year. The price stuff always amuses me. If you play it, the number of hours/dollar is insane. If you're not interested/won't be playing it habitually, you shouldn't be looking at it anyway.
if it was a game that i poured hours into like D1, then i wouldnt care about the price... but the game is shit, so $70 is steep. but to be fair, i havent gotten to see the videos of the new stuff. edit: also really depends on if my friends will get it or not because i am NOT going to LFG my way thru it lol.
well, if you don't want to play $70, you can always pay $40 for The Forsaken alone and go from there.
I just watched the reveal and it looks cool and all but it just pisses me off that we’re gonna end up paying $150 to get us back where we should rightfully be. I’ll probably fucking buy it because I’m a chump but if it even remotely sucks I’ll be so incredibly unbearable itt that I fully expect to be blocked by all
This is how I feel. It looks really good, but is it too late? This is what D2 should have been at launch.
Yup. Capcom continues to provide free content on a weekly basis. Last week we got a cool new monster with crazy awesome weapons and armor to go along with it. Like shit I want to grind for. Oh, and there will be another seasonal event in a couple weeks to add even more FREE FUCKING CONTENT. I will probably never be back after knowing what publishers can produce for their fan base to keep playing without a price tag attached and actually fixing their fucking problems in a timely manner. Plus, RDR 2 will be out a month after Forsaken, and I will def be all on that shit. I broke up with Destiny a month ago for good. It doesn’t provide me with what I need. I’ve moved on. That bitch sucks.
Take a look at this video starting about 2:40 and watch until your brain hurts. It would take me about 2 minutes to explain to an 8 year-old how Destiny's armor works. MH:W has such technical armor that I've spent hours mixing and matching pieces for different fights. I realize that's not for everyone, but Jesus, how about even the slightest bit of customization?
Oh don’t mind him he’s just busy white knighting a game he quit playing before all of us again.. That being said, MH combat doesn’t feel great to me but I can see how the grind when compared to destiny would be so much more enjoyable
first attempt at Spire of Stars last night. Stayed up too late and didn't finish, but it's another cool little mini-raid. Very mechanics heavy and requires everyone working and communicating together, especially on the boss. We were only able to get to one DPS phase on him before calling it quits for the night. once its been practiced it should be something that can be done quickly like Eater of Worlds, but that may take a while to perfect for most groups. I can't imagine doing an LFG with randos for it currently until more people in the community know how to smoothly run and teach it to others.
No jump button, bad co op But really, i didnt have a problem with it. Its just fortnite came along at the same time.
my god the pc version of this game is so superior. I played it before on the side when I was taking a break from the ps4 version and didn't do much a/b comparison. I knew it looked and ran better, but I thought ps4 was still ok. I'm leveling up/essentially switching to pc primary right now and still helping with some ps4 raids (reached 385 x 3 there) and going between the two is painful. I'm sure if I played ps4 exclusively for a while I'd readjust, but I doubt that's going to happen at this point.
ACL surgery July 11th. Looks like video game time for a couple weeks. Anyone gonna ay destiny 2 with me or am I gonna be have to get a different game to hang out with yall.
I can still jump on from time to time and play with you, but I'm waist deep in it on PC now leveling my 3 characters up and raiding.
Jax Teller , hope the surgery went well. Bungie has a get well gift for you, bounties are returning on Tuesday.
Random drunk thought: Why has Destiny, in its four year existence, failed to give us a character to actually give a shit about? I mean, Cayde is supposed to be that guy, right? Who the fuck cares? He’s just an NPC that had like 12 lines in D1 and is just the dude to get the easy weekly rewards from in D2. That’s not a character.
