It’s wonderful! There’s tons of little shops right by Campus Martius right now, too, for the holidays.
Every Christmas we go skating, walk through those shops and eat dinner downtown. It is nice. Not something outsiders think can happen in Detroit.
We had 405 yards to their 301, 25 first downs to their 17, and won the time of possession by 10:29. It was close because of 3 mistakes: Sonic’s fumble and Bates’ missed FG after Jameson’s penalty. And the defense losing players left and right.
Man, I was alone at night away from the "action" and felt 100% safe, had one unhoused person ask for a dollar, explained I didn't have any cash and he walked away with a God Bless, another dude gave me a random ass high five and a friendly "what's good". City stigma is so dumb.
It ended up -2.5 at Green Bay, which I'm assuming is the reason it started at this. But Love was hurt going into that game and there was a lot of uncertainty so I'm surprised it is still this high based on how GB has played the last couple weeks. Granted, their three wins prior to those were all on the last play of the game.
Eagles have pretty easy schedule. Toughest games left are Pitt (at home), and Washington on the road. Very good chance they win out and go 15-2. Tie-breaker I think is conference record. Really needed them to drop this one, to give us some breathing room. need road to super bowl to run through Ford Field.
Buffalo Wild Wings. Lol. Looked for easy with 2 dudes at retirement age in tow. Had a decent breakfast at Cadillac Square Diner, Coneys at Lafayette were great. Got some good coffee and fantastic beans from Desert Oasis Coffee.
Took my son to the Kerby Joseph and Dan Skipper autograph signing on Saturday. This town loves their Lions. More people were there for that than when I went 10 years ago for a Stafford signing. Those guys were probably signing for two and a half hours, line went all the way down the mall. My son favorite player is Kerby Joseph (he's 4 and it's as simple as his name is Joseph). He has a Joseph jersey he wears. Kerby was awesome, after he signed our helmet, he had my son jump up on the table and signed his jersey too (no extra charge).
ARSB podcast today said the team was coached in meetings that caleb fakes going out of bounds and cuts back in a lot and it was a point of emphasis and Campbell talked to officials pregame about how they were going to hit him if he cut back in.
