Boston fans are going to be so confused. Do they love Bellicheck and accept his dog? Or, do they burn his dog and hope Bellicheck agrees?
Putting these pics in spoiler because they are really hard to look at, but I feel its important to share for people to know what goes on down here in the south every day. This is what we have to fight against all the time, and these are the ones we get to in time, god knows how many die and get thrown in the woods somewhere. This is Peter and Lily, they are only 4 months old, Boston Terrier pups locked in the cage their entire lives. The shot of the crate, it isn't mud on the bottom, its liquified shit they are sitting in. They have bad urine burns on their feet, and god knows what parasites and other shit they will have to deal with. But they are Pixel pups now and will have amazing lives soon enough. Spoiler
And to balance the scales from the other post, here's the newest litter of Pixel pups, 7 week old Shepherd mixes, no idea what else they are but holy fuck are they fluffy.
Picked up a 7 mo collie mix today from a rescue mission. Really sweet dog. Any tips on helping cats adjust to a new canine in the house? The pup is great with them, and our short-haired seems fine, but the long-haired is acting like a fucking psychopath.
What's the cat do? If the dog is good with them id let the cat figure shit out. When we introduced a new dog to the family cats we always focused more on the dog - the cats can get away easy and if the dog isn't being aggressive the situation should work itself out.
Yeah, I'd let the cat figure it out if your pup is well behaved. Our family cats took a little time to get used to a dog.
One Knight god bless you. That’s if you believe in god. If not may whatever you pray to bless you. Usually Groot sleeps in his dog bed until 3-4 in the morning when he wakes up and jumps on my bed. Tonight he sleeps on my bed all night. Can’t imagine having him sleep on the “floor” after seeing those pics. He isn’t a dog he is part of my family. He keeps me company when the rest of my family goes out. And he’s the only that hasn’t gotten mad at me once since he enters my life.
And let the cat adjust. When my parents introduced a new kitten to the mix, the other cats took a few weeks to finally accept the situation. They weren't like attacking the kitten or anything, but they were older and didn't want to deal with the kitten shit. Was a combo of the kitten having to learn the ropes of living with his new feline family and the cats having to be patient and and learn to accept the new feline buddy.
For the Central Florida area peeps, Pixel is expecting a large amount of animals coming in after the hurricane. If you have ever considered fostering, even if it is short-term emergency fostering, the need is absolutely urgent. The shelters we deal with have been putting down adoptable dogs all week to make room for pets coming from evacuation zones, as is required by local governments. The more foster families we have, the more animals we can save. Let me know if you can do anything, and if you want to straight apply to foster, go here and fill out the form, then PM me with your name so I can help push it through. http://www.thepixelfund.org/application-for-fostering-2017.html
Meeting up with a dog that's being fostered tonight to see if it's a good adoption fit. Don't know why it wouldn't be
The ones i have kinda suck. I met the chick who was fostering him at this bar that hosts a ridiculous yappy hour. It's legit 60-70 dogs just promoting chaos. He played non stop with a couple specific puppies. Their owners want to meet back up because they were such good friends so that's a standing thuraday play date. I tried to upload the mediocre one I took but it was too big for the board
Mutt, pure-breed, somewhere in between? The lack of details make me want to punch my face. All I know is it is a dog, most likely.
He's about 7 months old. Definitely a mutt, about 35 pounds. Looks like mostly terrier and collie but has some pit head to him. His size thougu makes me feel like hes mosrly the smaller breeds than the pit. So total mutt. Some old lady adopted home as a puppy then tied him to the doornof the shelter in tbe middle of the night 4 months later with a note that said she was allergic. Piece of shit imo
Starting treatment for immune-mediated thrombocytopenia on our 11yr old today. Got a really bad feeling we’re circling the drain here, fellas.
God Bless, brother. This little guy was in a rough situation before we adopted him pic from the CARA site He still has "burn" spots on his lower legs that will probably never grow hair. But he's fat and happy now
Diffuse lung cancer that triggered the immune response, it was time. It’s done. He was a great friend, and I believe we gave him a wonderful life.
Are we He was a great looking pup man, its because we love them so much that it hurts so bad. T's and P's.
Cool looking pup. If you ever have trouble with photos being too large, one quick and dirty trick is to screenshot the image and crop it. Should be quite a bit smaller than original file size.
Peace has returned to my home! After a week in solitary confinement under constant surveillance, our old cat has finally stopped trying to murder the puppy. She’s not happy about it, but she’d rather maintain this uneasy truce than remain locked in the bedroom for 23 hrs/day. We also picked out a name. Molly the Collie:
I truly appreciate everyone that showed support in here. Think the most cathartic thing for me over the past few days has been sharing pics, videos, and stories with anyone I can. You always think you’ve got another day, another week, until you don’t. Throw the tennis ball, get them an ice cream cone, give them a birthday party just because. Petey was a loving and protective friend to my fiancée and me. I’ve had him ten years, but for the past three he’s been her protector. I work long hours and always took solace in the fact that there was 70lbs of pitbull mix that would have laid down his life to protect her. Goodnight buddy.
So my 8 month old male dog has started a thing where he gets excited and starts humping. However, he can't stop. Like it's almost he is having a seizure and it appears to scare/hurt him because he gets really docile when it happens. If I get him to focus on a toy or fetch it seems to break him out of it. Is this just some inate wiring that he doesn't know how to control and is scaring him or more to it? He is fixed. dump
