I’m not particulay well versed in the art of diss tracks, but it would appear Eminem got the better of that exchange.
Ems is on another level. The wordplay in this diss is absolutely amazing. MGK gave a nice effort, but he bit into a chainsaw
Stupid part is, you know he doesn't have anything done to go at Em, so it'd take him 4 years to actually release something
There's a reason why everyone who doesn't need the publicity reacts like this when you ask them about em
So MGK(opening for Fallout Boy) evidently: Got basically booed off the stage for performing Rap Devil Tweeted a photo oh him wearing a Killshot shirt, with the crowd in the back giving the finger...but then had people tweeting that he told them to give the cameras the finger, then turned around, took off a sweatshirt covering the shirt, and took a picture without the crowd ever knowing why. Dude is taking Ls all over the place on this.
Oh, and I’ve watched a few of these review videos because some of them are legit hilarious, but this one is by far my favorite. He does one on “all the things wrong with Rap Devil” that’s hilarious too.
Watched the clip of the boos...there are definitely some boos in that. Probably had nothing to do with the shirt or song, more likely they had no desire to see him since they were FOB fans. And the last one, I’d probably option 1. He’s probably been on and off writing that for months, and I’d bet we don’t hear another response.
Agree here. It was far better than anything else he’s done and for him to put it out that quick seemed fishy like was discussed earlier itt
Ive always been of the opinion that MGK has that song in his back pocket for ages. Minor tweaks to it over the years to keep it current. That tweet about Hailey was disrespectful. I think even the most sheltered humans in America know what Ems daughter means to him and MGK knew he was provoking when he made that tweet. Add in several subliminal disses along the way and finally Em takes a poke and MGK has the opportunity to drop the track.
I’m struggling to understand the fascination. Eminem went after low hanging fruit with his new album. One of those low hanging fruits responded and Eminem crushed him. Why is this being fawned over? Am I principal skinner?
Some sites are saying that the beef was staged to promote new music by both Eminem and MGK because the same guy that helped MGK write, and produced Rap Devil, Ronald Spence Jr, also produced The Ringer and Not Alike for Eminem.
Memo to MGK when creating a "Diss Track" 1. You can't admit a rapper is better than you twice in a diss that's an automatic L 2. You can't diss someone for having security when you have security yourself. 3. You can't diss 8 mile when you've publicly performed the raps from the movie yourself and been a fan of it for years. 4. Taking a cheap shot at someone's daughter when you're a single dad yourself = L. 5. Teasing a rapper about studying the dictionary is equivalent to going up to Eddie Van Halen and saying "your'e lame because all you do is stay inside and practice guitar and getting better at your craft, no wonder you'er the best, such a loser lol" 6. The 2012 verse was a lie because em was answering mgks sneak diss on tech n9nes album 7. You can't diss someone for living in lavish luxury when you yourself have a value of 8 million dollars and act tough all the time, I mean your name is mgk ffs. 8. "your beard is weird" need I say more? 9. "Damn your in love with me" judging by MGKs fanboying on twitter and constantly mentioning EM on radio shows over these past few years not to mention you're only famous now because you dissed Eminem I would suggest otherwise. 10. Basic thesis of the diss "your'e old " however Eminems career at your age ecplises yours a million times over. basically mgk got bodied. That's how you properly dissect a diss.
The saying goes, "there's no such thing as bad press..." but I feel like MGK certainly hasn't earned any new fans in this process. Some people will listen to Rap Devil for a little while, but it's pretty doubtful they'll buy his album. It's a little strange that most of Ronny J's production resume is associated with the type of rap Em claims to hate, up until Kamikaze.
Just in case anyone was interested. "Kill Shot" was made available this morning on Itunes and I jumped on it and bought it. Just figured I'd pass that along...
I'm calling bullshit on the Eminem part... Eminem doesn't need staging to promote his music. He's got 9 consecutive #1, platinum albums. I don't think he needed a staged beef with MGK to sell his music. I mean please...
Forget about the subject for a moment. I think people are impressed with the superhuman way Eminem makes words rhyme
Don't reply to soulfag. And I have no intention on buying it, but I am genuinely intrigued to see how many hours it takes for it to pass move Rap Devil out of the spot. That's been MGK's claim to fame for the last 5 days: "Rap Devil is #1 on iTunes". Guarantee it's not by the end of the day.
I was thinking the same thing this morning when I purchased it.. I actually was thinking 3 days, but I wouldn't be surprised if you are right and I am wrong.
I saw a video this morning from a reputable site that said "Kill Shot" had 38.1 million views in it's first 24 Hours... The 3rd highest amount of views of any song from any genre in YouTube history. Just to add, it is the highest viewed rap song in YouTube history for the first 24 hours, which was previously 13.1 million views in 24 hours... He almost tripled the previously highest viewed Rap song WITHOUT A FUCKING VIDEO... That is absolutely insane..
Bro, We were both wrong.. Out of curiosity I just went back and looked 30 seconds ago and "Kill Shot" is #1 on the download chart on the first day of release LITERALLY hours ago... omfg..
Machine Gun Kelly Calls Eminem’s “Killshot” Disconnected and Says He Won’t Respond http://www.xxlmag.com/video/2018/09...ed-response-to-eminem-after-hearing-killshot/
He's a joke... I'm sure it has nothing to do with Diddy shutting it down before Eminem drags him in further.
