I know Wahlberg’s hardcore Catholic now and regrets making it but he’s so fucking good in Boogie Nights. The Rahad Johnson scene is a perfect scene.
One of my favorites and the soundtrack was perfect for that movie. Sister Christian...Jessie's Girl...
Watched Mean Streets recently. It's unreal how much young Deniro stands out in everything he's in. Pretty incredible movie even if it isn't anywhere close to my favorite Scorsese. Was not prepared for the ending
i enjoyed No Hard Feelings far more than i expected to lots of clever one-liners beyond the ordinary but decent plot. also, the beach fight scene was downright hilarious.
just announced the criterion 4k uhd release for november (along with 4k uhd releases for last picture show and days of heaven, so some real 70s heat) right on time for the november barnes and noble sale
I have Regal unlimited and see at least a movie a week and have pretty much totally zoned out the ad now, but all of the replies to that tweet are bringing back my many complaints about how bad it is, most notably how most of the quotes don't fit together in the context of the ad, especially the 'so you're saying there's a chance' right after the guy says 'you can't sit with us' among a full row of people. Like, serenity now, please make it make sense!!!
Fall was an incredibly unrealistic movie but I had a knot in my stomach the whole time. They really conveyed being half a mile in the air on a small platform for the majority of the film.
I’m finding lately that instead of rewatching movies I enjoy, I prefer to watch YouTube videos of people reacting to movies I enjoy.
Rewatching Twister It's kind of hilarious how Bill Paxton is actively courting Helen Hunt while on a mission to get her to sign divorce papers and at no point does the movie frame him as an asshole.
The music is so damn good, too. Watched it a few months ago and I've been on an Audioslave kick since then.
This is like my kid watching somebody on YouTube playing a video game instead of playing the game himself. I don’t get it.
Never saw Twister but I remember the Universal Studios attraction when I visited the states awhile back.
