Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Tyrion should have a jacked up face also. A scar that runs across his face and nose or something, George is always describing it and I pictured it being nasty.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Uh, aside from spoilerfag Spoiler Shit happens at the end of book two broheem
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Agree on all points, the actor plays a good Robert, but he is too short, Robert is supposed to be larger than life in every sense of the term.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread No, Spoiler Im reading the first book, and when they first introduce him his face is fucked up
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread I thought he comes in to the book with scars, Spoiler not talking about later
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Spoiler He's always described as having a twisted face (different colored eyes I think and just generally disproportional) even before he loses his nose and all that in the battle.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Hey guys, if you're going to chastise someone for posting a spoiler (even though its not really a spoiler) don't quote it a million times, just let him edit his post.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Spoiler I'm not going to spoil it for you, but that's not it.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Someone needs to bump the other thread so they can resume their conversation in there. I'm not trying be complain so much, but this is the show for us newbies and I hate not reading half a page because of so many Spoiler spoilers .
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread whats awesome about reading this thread and seeing spoilers is i dont know who is who except ned and robert as all their names are fucked up so its not a real spoiler
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread anyone got a stream of the episode? the usual sites got nothing
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Spoiler yeah this is it, I always pictured that as some kind of birth defect. Not a normal looking face.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread GODDAMMIT NO FUCKING SPOILERS. not even with spoiler text bc that shit doesn't work on mobile.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Don't know who said it, but Cercei should be MUCH hotter. Other than that, I'm good with the casting.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread You're probably just gonna have to deal with that. It's too much to ask to not post any spoilers when most of the people here are asking questions that have to be spoiler tagged.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread I'm not one who wants to be completely clueless and in the dark, don't mean that. If someone has a bad leg because be was shot way back when, trays cool. But if a wolf eats the rest of it at the end of book 2, I would rather that stay in the other thread.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread OP should probably put something in the title about not posting spoilers so some random guy comes in here and does it innocently.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Really hope I didn't come off as a douche or anything, I just want to be in the dark about everything before I see it.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread nah, spoilers really are like landmines, and they are really hard not to read even if you don't want to.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread I know some people were having trouble with names and stuff so hopefully this helps some: Ned Stark is the Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the north, Catelyn is his wife and their kids are (oldest to youngest) Robb (heir to Winterfell) Sansa, Arya, Bran and Rickon Jon Snow is Ned's bastard son Robert Baratheon is the King and lives in Kings Landing The Lannisters are from Casterly Rock Cersei Lannister is the queen Jaime Lannister is her twin brother Tyrion Lannister is their younger brother, also a dwarf. Those are the main characters for now, but don't worry a lot more will be added.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread would be awesome to put WBN's post in the OP along with the maps and continue to add to it.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Yea they made all the kids a little bit older than they were in the books. In the books Bran is 8, he is 10 in the show. I'm not sure how old Dany is in the show but she is 13 in the books. Also forgot to add the Targaryens to my list. doing that meow
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Didn't read this thread because I haven't watched the pilot yet, I have it recorded though. What you guys think on a scale of 1 to 10, my boy said it was awesome and need to watch.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Danaerys "Dany" Tagaryen is the daughter of the former king and is living in exile in Pentos across the narrow sea with her brother: Viserys Targaryen who fancies himself king and is obsessed with raising an army to retake the iron throne from Robert. he marries Dany off to: Khal Drogo, in return Khal has promised Viserys a crown. Ser Jorah Mormont has been living among the Dothraki people and has pledged to help Dany and Viserys.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Can you explain the Iron thrown without spoiling stuff? Do they rule over everyone?
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread What set everything in motion was the sudden death of Jon Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie, Warden of the East and Hand of the King, who was married to Catelyn Stark's sister Lysa. Lysa fled back to the Eyrie with her son Robert Arryn and sent a letter to Catelyn saying she suspects the Lannisters murdered Jon.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread The Iron Throne is the actual throne that the king of the seven kingdoms sits on in Kings Landing The King rules over the seven kingdom which is that big colorful map I posted a few pages back Also I forgot to include: Prince Joffrey Baratheon, Robert's oldest son Robert and Cersei have two other children, Tommen and Myrcella, don't have pictures of them.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Yes, which basically means that he runs the kingdom in terms of the day to day stuff, while Robert is eating, drinking and banging whores. He has to sit through all of the meetings and give judgment on all of the disputes.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Ok gotcha. Appreciate it. I'm about to rewatch it and i'll pay more attention this time.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Finally watching now. Loved the opening scene and credits.
Re: HBO's Game Of Thrones -- Official Thread Ok have a much better understanding after watching it again/your posts wbn and ny.
