Yeah, I don't have any desire whatsoever to talk about jamblands. I fucking love phish and listen to quite a bit of Dead, but I don't have any use for most of the rest of that garbage. Most of what I listen to is indie/rock/psych/stoner and shit like that. I'm a huge music nerd. This is probably my favorite release of the year, and also my favorite show that I saw this year. These guys are so fucking good. They're all in their early 20's too and already put out some crazy good albums. This probably they're 'heaviest'
one of the members of this band been trying to add me on facebook and shit. no friends in common. no clue how he found me because i don't post on public pages about metal. oh well, band isn't terrible regardless. the cleans seem pointless though
Lol, nice. Anything that's drone-y and riff-heavy enough to make me crash my bike, not once, but on two separate occasions, during the day and completely sober, automatically gets a bid into my 'heavy music' file. That's not even counting all of the shit I've stumbled into drunk/spun zoning out to shjips/moon duo. Probably my number one band I want to see yet haven't gotten a chance to yet.
the new Faceless album is pretty good. if i didn't have a bunch of shit to do i'd go see them tonight in Portland.
they re-recorded The Spiraling Void with a human drummer and possibly new vocals, and it is even more awesome
i know you like to have contrarian takes, which i appreciate. but lots of people can play technical, fast stuff how many people could write Dance of Eternity and then play it accurately? gavin harrison from porcupine tree maybe? i don't even really like that song tbh
i'm going to max out the destiny 2 pc trial after i'm done with finals next week Odin you should make a new dude and run with me (if it works like that)
the new Faceless album would serve the same purpose i actually like the first half of it a lot though
are pistols still strong as fuck? because that's how the beta was pvp got a lot better when i got some 5-shot revolver
this Yes album is evidence that it's possible for pop-rock to be decent without becoming a plague like Def Leppard
I love that song and that album. Really I love anything that Yes has done. Even when things got kind of weird in the late 70s, like they did for most of those prog bands. I believe at one point King Crimson had a "percussionist" that was doing stuff like putting a microphone over a giant bowl of rice as he tried to dig to the bottom with his hands.
speaking of Yes, i'm not sure any rock musician has ever had any more swagger than Rick Wakeman when he comes in at the end of Close to the Edge you know you love that keyboard burnttatertot
the Pallbearer album that came out earlier this year is really good. i'm not sure why i wasn't as into it the first time.
via the new radio fenriz. i wonder how he finds this stuff if people don't send it to him because this video has 15 views on youtube.
they are ripshit insane live. if the sound isn’t good it probably sucks because of how abrasive their sound is to begin with.
Not all that familiar with Converge I listened to a minute worth of three different albums. In those three minutes all I got is they're confused on if they want to be Napalm Death or Eyehategod.
That band is on Deathwish - which was started by Converge's singer. That album art was done by said singer. So I'm going to guess that band was heavily influenced by Converge
