My only beef with these Saturday puzzles is I have the most time for them, but they're faster to solve than puzzles with more two-team questions, for me at least. Give me these faster ones on Monday morning when my phone is constantly ringing at work.
I used all 9 guesses today unsuccessfully trying to name a Pirates pitcher with 200 strikeouts. New record for futility.
when it comes to the .300 career AVG category I always play it super safe, so many great hitters ended up in the .290s
Willie Randolph, my favorite secondbasemen in the Hall of Very Good. 62 career WAR. Of course, I count Lou Whitaker as a Hall of Famer b/c I choose to live in an alternate reality where we don't have a joke of a Baseball Hall of Fame that spends it's time inducting pretenders like Jim Rice and Harold Baines over Whitaker.
I was in the zone for rarity and old-timers this morning. Makes up for days where I spend a long time trying to think of great Mets hitters who meet a certain criteria, and never even remember David Wright.
