Belichick has that habit of taking away the other team's best player and he did just that by benching Mac
Who cares how hard you work if you stink? Like great, you work hard, I'm happy about that; but you stink, and I want the other guy to play.
It’s a business. Produce or be replaced. Not sure what’s hard to grasp on that. It happens every week.
When your qb is running laps with the linemen in practice, it’s hard to see him get this kind of treatment!
I love seeing the Patriots struggle but I think the pendulum of public opinion has swung way too hard against Mac Jones. You can't set up a young QB to fail, bench them and expect them to improve. I guess it's just a Patriots coaching tree thing though.
pretty funny that so many people fell for the video ESPN felt they needed to respond. (and the people who were dumb enough to fall for it still won't believe ESPN's statement)
I was watching it on mute, but now that I watched with the sound on and heard the noise of the ball hitting the wire I don't know how ESPN can try to deny it.
Mac in action. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/10/26/report-mac-jones-will-start-sunday-vs-jets/
the forest is getting lost here the throw was bad. the decision was worse. it's a horrible pass even if it doesn't hit the wire. the deflection (if it happened) isn't changing anything about that pick.
8/13 for 62 yards at halftime at one point he slid at the sideline for a 5 yard loss instead of throwing it away he’s the worst
He’s no superstar, but he really does have no help. Just shows how insane Brady was to make it work so well for most of his career there with no-name guys.
He ain’t wrong But that ain’t the way to conduct yourself esp around Darth Belichick He may be thrown out of a helicopter as we speak
he’s a league average qb with no OL, a shitty OC, and no one remarkable at skill positions outside of rhamondre
the narrative that he doesn't have skill guys is wrong. stevenson at RB is great, henry/smith at TE is fine, and the WR group of meyers/agholor/bourne/parker/thornton is also probably fine. better than houston, atlanta, chicago, jacksonville, la rams, and probably a few others in aggregate. OC situation is laughable and the OL is bad + injured, yes, so it's hard to know how much is mac's fault vs. how much is the oc's fault vs. the ol vs. being out-talented on the edge.
The best position coach in a generation is old as piss, he will surely retire any day, I will need a contingency when he does. the correct answer is Matt Patricia -me, a genius
