i cant recall strictly seafood but had an incredible Lobster dish at Liverpool House (or go to Joe Beef) Grumman 78 for tacos Eater always has up-to-date dining recs https://montreal.eater.com/ Hot Restaurants: Marconi, a casual bistro from an ex-Pied de Cochon chef, is probably the hottest of the hot right now, but creative pastries at Libertine Bakehouse and the sprawling, intricately designed Kampai Garden are getting lots of praise. https://montreal.eater.com/2017/4/1...rist-food-and-dining-guide-where-to-eat-drink
Heading to the airport right now, but thank you! Montreal was fantastic. I'll have to post the spots we went to later.
In town this week, didn't see the thread until now. The chorizo poutine at Poule Mouillee is quite possibly the best thing I've ever tasted.
Yeah, think so. Former Romados employees, they're less big time. Just tastes like there's a little bit more love in what they cook. Romados is great though.
In town til the 22nd for work.. sounds like there should be plenty of things to do on the wknd but I'll be solo. Do any sports bars here show college fb?
I normally watch March Madness at Station des Sports, so that could be an option. MVP downtown might play it also, I know they show college hoops. Maybe Champs on St-Laurent?
For the strip clubs, we found chez paree was the best one. Oh and get dinner at Bounanotte. Every female in the place was a 10. Unreal.
this place just opened in Nashville. https://nashville.eater.com/2018/3/13/17081726/mile-end-deli-downtown-nashville
Cross post from the travel thread... Champ 34 looking at Airbnb's in Montreal, which areas should I look at? Looking for bars and restaurants more than clubs as I'll be with my gf. Quite a lot of affordable options I'm seeing with is surprising and welcome.
Plateau/Mile-End or St-Henri/Petite Patrie. Anywhere between Papineau/Jean-Talon/Parc/Ste-catherine would have you pretty well located
Like Jack Parkman, going there for a bachelor party. Would be interested in Champ 's advice here and what to do for bachelor party accommodations.
Have a look around the thread, plenty of good recs. Otherwise if you have any specific question, ask away.
I’m heading up first weekend in April for a bachelor party. Anyone have any recommendations for good spots during the day on Friday and Saturday to drink? Looking for a good crowd, girls, etc. Besides the obvious chez paree, etc.
Hey guys....a bit premature, but I'm planning another trip to Montreal in September and would love to know some of the best spots to watch college and pro football. Any recommendations would be great!
Not sure if proper thread but CNN Bourdain episode in Newfoundland with Joe Beef guys was fantastic That French territory off the coast
My ex lives there. I’d love to live out there but it’s such a commitment. Basically the reason we broke up
Les enfants terribles is nice, don’t miss it. Great view Can’t put the pic I took for some reason but it is a nice place, worth it. Food was very good too on a late Sunday brunch
Will be making a trip back in August with my parents, sister, and BIL. Not looking to be around a ton of nightlife, but definitely want to be social. Thinking of staying on the plateau. Is that a good neighborhood for 3 folks in the early 30s and 2 60 year olds?
