loved, loved, LOVED this season. Like some others have said its probably my favorite Marvel season of them all. I have a couple of questions that I'll get to, but damn what a really good show/storyline in this season. Spoiler As they were doing the Dex backstory I was thinking wait a minute they've never given us Karen's backstory all this time? When she called her dad asking to come home I knew we would get her story finally. That last scene of DD screaming into Kingpins face that "this city beat you", and "I beat you" is amazing and I watched that 5 times. Spoiler 1 - Why was Dex investigated/questioned and taken off duty for his role in the Kingpin assassination attempt when he gets out of prison? He literally saved everyone that was left (kingpin, Nadeem, a few other FBI agents). They were trying to say he did something wrong? 2 - Where the hell is Elektra? No way did she die to allow Matt to live especially when she is in Matt's dream at the beginning of the season 3 - They've been cancelling so many shows, so I haven't seen or maybe I forgot, but will there be a defenders season 2?
Spoiler Dex was under investigation because he was basically executing everyone. shooting people not even looking at him in the back and side of the heads. that's why in Fisk's statement he said that only after the assailants went to fire on Dex did he shoot them. he was giving the story that would keep Dex out of trouble.
Spoiler 1 - He executed two guys who had surrendered, dropped their weapons and got on their knees. Fisk saw it. I'm assuming Fisk used that with the FBI to push Dex towards losing his shit (while showing Dex he had his back). 2 - If Elektra isn't dead, there was no way they could fit her still being alive into season 3 without it becoming a jumbled mess. There was no point in even mentioning her, IMO. 3 - No.
On season 3. First 2 episodes were pretty good. Episodes 3 and 4 sucked. Fisk in Matt's head is lame and cliche'ed. Prison scene was far fetched and seemed pretty pointless. Storyline with Fisk is old and stale. Essentially nothing has happened. Even the acting has seemed to drop off.
The prison scene was far fetched... The fuckin main character has fucking radar in his head from a chemical spill, a rich guy paying off prison guards is nothing.
I’d imagine Disney is going to include some sort of separation between adult and child content on their platform
Sucks, really enjoyed the series and Charlie Cox and D' Onofrio were great. Maybe my favorite Marvel character. Apparently the director and writers were ready to go on S4. Guessing JJ and Punisher will be cancelled after their next seasons are released. Separate thought; Competition with shows in general are getting cutthroat with all the streaming services creating original content. If a show has a bad first season now it won't get the time to hit its stride and is quickly cancelled Seems like there are just too many shows I want to watch and don't have the time.
Definitely not my favorite series but favorite marvel and gonna blame it on the stupid fucking studio pushing out every show imaginable.
I watched season one over the past few weeks that was probably the most entertaining TV show I have watched in a long time (granted I don't watch much non-sports TV) really looking forward to starting the second season
It just sucks we have to wait 2 years before they can make them but I’m sure Disney could negotiate a buy out if they wanted.
Started a rewatch. The fights are so good. Man I forgot about the guy being so afraid of Fisk he slammed his own head through a spike. Ouch.
Years late to this one but this show was amazing. Wife and I just watched over past couple months. One little thing I thought was interesting was that rhey were really reserved in using comic book names. It was way into season 1 I think before ever saying Daredevil. They don't say Kingpin until late in S3. I don't think they ever said Bullseye. The only one they said early was Punisher. I'm sure comic fans would cite reasons for this but I just thought it was cool how they managed the characters. Anyway sorry for anyone who thought this bump was about S4.
Wonder if they’re ever going to address the fact that Karen killed Kingpin’s lawyer in the first season.
