I don't fuck with that corner at all if it's the one I'm thinking of. Constant sketchy shit going on there and it's right in the heart of major cross streets unfortunately.
Yea it's a pretty rough spot. My route stops at that bus stop every day, right by the Columbia store on 3rd. The McDonald's in the area is awful, too. A homeless guy attacked another homeless guy there with a chainsaw about a year ago
it can be the go to thread they’re not quite bad enough for people to care about them because we live in such a fucked up world that they’ll only be news for about 5 minutes
Sadly there are probably half a dozen TMBers who have a gun violence situation within a mile of them every day. Welcome to America.
I would guess that's just how the demand algorithm works. They would have to manually override somehow
Exactly. This kind of news doesn't even move the needle any more. Hope the injured recover though. You know what was devastating? Some woman walking around here a while back and a tree branch fell and hit her and killed her. Fucking insane - right around where I walk/run often. I think about that a lot.
No, no, no, some bigshot high up in Uber was standing there and was like "AH HA! A CHANCE AT MORE PROFITS!" and jacked up the prices because they knew people would want to travel to that area soon after the shooting.
I doubt that. My only mass gun violence situations have been the Salt Lake Trolley Square incident of 2/12/2007 and the Las Vegas Manderlay Bay 10/1/2017 incident. Woe be unto anyone close to me in 2027.
Take a second and read the bold part again, slowly. I've only ever been in the vicinity of someone being shot in the arse with a .22 air rifle (Spoiler: I shot him, but it was hilarious).
Your’s wasn’t a mass gun violence situation. But I get what you are saying. ( I have to admit that I’m not sure what a .22 air rifle is. Is that like a pump BB gun shooting .22 bullets? If so, how does the impact compare to a .22 bullet shot from a rifle or a pistol?
That's my point. To have been close to a mass shooting is a horrific idea to most of the western world. To say you've 'only' been close to 2 in a 10 year span is positively absurd. A .22 air rifle is a bit more powerful than a BB gun, but wont do any damage.

How are these guys not in prison already?
Dude has been arrested 44 times and he’s only 24. Dude must literally go do dumb shit in front of the police station.
Three killed in mass shooting in Youngstown News Feb 10, 2020 Staff photo / Ed Runyan The Brothers of Power Classic Cars Club at the corner of Logan and Tacoma avenues on Youngstown's South Side is shown Sunday morning after three men were shot to death and two other people were injured by gunfire at and around the club at 3:45 a.m. Spoiler YOUNGSTOWN — Three men in their 30s were shot to death early Sunday at the Brothers of Power Classic Cars Club at Logan and Tacoma avenues on the North Side. Two others also suffered gunshot wounds but were in stable condition Sunday night. Police are working to confirm the identity of a suspect in the crimes, Lt. Brian Welsh of the detective bureau of the Youngstown Police Department said Sunday. It is undetermined whether there was more than one shooter, he said. “Upon arrival, officers were met with a chaotic scene,” Welsh told reporters later Sunday morning. Officers arrived within one minute of the 3:45 a.m. call of multiple gunfire and shooting victims and saw multiple people trying to get away from the scene. Victims were taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital by ambulance and private vehicle. Welsh said the shootings involved a “large crime scene” that included the parking area of the club as well as the inside of the club. Detectives are still trying to determine what started the conflict, Welsh said. The identities of the victims were being withheld pending notification of the families of the victims. Police said they expect to release additional information this morning. One of the areas officers were investigating in the hours after the shooting was north of the club near a building with the words “Pit Stop Classic Car Sales LLC Taylor Inc.” at 1547 Logan Avenue. The club’s main address is 1532 Logan Ave. Red stains that appeared to be blood drops were seen in the snow across the street from the club. Police said those might have been the result of victims being taken from the shooting scene and transported to the hospital. There was a fire at the Brothers of Power Classic Cars Club early Thursday, but Welsh said police do not know whether the fire and shootings are related. A man who lives in an upstairs apartment at the building called 911 at 5:10 a.m. Thursday, saying he awoke to smoke. He was able to get out safely. Youngstown police detectives were investigating after the fire. In December 2017, the the club gave away 50 turkeys along with stuffing and cranberries to the first 50 people that come through the doors of Pit Stop Cafe on Logan Avenue in Youngstown, WFMJ-TV 21 reported at the time. “Just doing anything positive for the community. Youngstown gets a bad names sometimes but we are just trying to bring our community up, make it look good, and celebrate Christmas, make everybody happy,” B.O.P Classic Cars Club member Robert Taylor told the TV station then. Youngstown police also investigated a separate shooting that took place at about 8 or 8:30 p.m. Saturday on Hunter Street on the South Side that injured one person. If Sunday’s deaths are officially ruled homicides, it would mark the third, fourth and fifth homicides of the year. Youngstown recorded 20 homicides in all of 2019, the lowest total since 2016, when there were 19. The city had 28 homicides in both 2018 and 2017. erunyan<\@>tribtoday.com Gang type shit?
This post made me show ignored. That motherfucker is the most thick headed cunt I've ever come across on the internet. And I say that as a thick headed motherfucker. Hey dickhead, I hate all guns in all situations. I'd suck 10 dicks on live TV if it meant they were all magically melted. Fuck you and your whole fake hardo gun crew.
I can't get over how dull you have to be to ask "BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL THE RAPES THEY STOP" while completely ignoring all the rapes that they make possible. He's definitely working with a low wattage light bulb.
Everyone - Cocaine is bad. Disingenuous dicks - WHOA NOW SOME DR'S USE IT! THE COCAINE ISN'T BAD, HOW PEOPLE USE IT IS BAD! YOU'LL TAKE MY COCAINE OVER MY DEAD BODY!
You said you rolled your eyes. That leaves your criticism to what I said pretty open ended. Why did you sprain your eyes, exactly?
