Agree. Rural Maine just seemed a bit more on edge than what I was used to for rural areas.

 

My man, I'm not giving anyone an excuse for anything. Yes, I know Reagan and the NRA did it for racist reasons. The Mulford Act was a direct response to the picture I posted.

That said, I have my doubts about today. Yes, the GOP and NRA went that direction 50+ years ago but idk if there's anything that would get them to support gun legislation today. They are so far down that path that idk if they'll ever be able to turn around. Today's GOP loves some racism but idk if that's enough for them to give up their guns.

The Maine woods would be a relatively easy place to disappear if someone has the skills, did the planning, and is not in an active mental health breakdown.

 

He made it to the getaway boat so I wouldn’t put it past him to have somewhere set up in the woods or a place planned to go to.

I read a tweet that said his latest mental breakdown happened after being fitted for hearing aides and they (the hearing aides) were telling him awful things.

I don’t see how someone having a mental crisis could be rational enough to hide for a long period in the woods or anywhere else.

 

I mean good for him got finally realizing the problem but also fuck him for waiting until it happened in his community.
