really sad to see mario take a transfer over his high school recruits thought he was the only one who could develop high schoolers
Well yeah but he already acts like he is smarter than every damn GM in football is more what I was getting at.
it's a joke from the recruiting trail Miami coaches and media torched Norvell about his reliance on the portal. then Miami went all in on the portal for 2024
sure, but it's just a brain dead moron being a used car salesman to his full effect luckily he sucks as a coach so it's all schadenfreude
It's the best method right now. Take developmental swings with HS recruiting. Until one pans out mine the portal.
On3 article says Beck is in rehab. Good for him, the opioid crisis in this country is out of control.
Beck was really up and down last yr but I was going to be like our FSU friends on here this fall and pretend Miami didn't play CFB next season if Emory Williams is QB1 so lets ride Carson
Can never tell if this means that Iowa has finally landed a good QB or if this QB is actually mid if he decided to go to Iowa.
Miami getting Beck for $6.5 million. Cannot believe that. Doubling what he got from UGA. Get your bag, young man. What did they give Cam Ward?
Ward got 1.8 from the school plus what they helped him get in endorsements with adidas and some other brands 6.5 seems like a lot but spend that dough
If Ward only got that then idk that I believe the $6.5 number for Beck but they've been dialed in on this for months.
But the reality is that there's not many better options available and $6.5 million for an ok season is better than free and a terrible one that gets you fired/hot seated
thats got to be a incentive heavy deal to be 3x's more then Cam got. He must be getting $2M if Miami wins the ACC and $2M if they win a playoff game
I agree on everything but QB's. I absolutely think schools will vastly overpay for QB's just like NFL GM's get really fucking dumb in the draft.
Emory playing the second half of the bowl game probably raised Beck's price by $3 million Miami has to spend their way out of their QB room problem, they are high on the GA kid coming in but he shouldn't see the field for at least a year. By all accounts Williams practiced really well all season and then just laid an absolute egg in the bowl game forcing their hand in the portal
Plus you are getting a guy who beat FSU by 60 points, how many times can you say a person with that on their resume has been available to transfer to your school you gotta pay up for that
He practiced against Guidry defense all year ofcourse he looked like shit when he got in a real game.
Cam Ward had to set some kind of record where he didn't have an incomplete pass in practice for 3 months against that defense
NIL is going to cost kids so much money, especially QBs. stay and make decent, instant money or leave when your hype is bubbling and make great money over a few years. teams are still going to find out you're a fraud, the issue is will they discover it after the ink is dry or not.
