Now that is why shows should have endings instead of just waiting to be canceled. 2nd best ending of any Star Wars show, so far
The show was fine. I watched all of it for three seasons and it gave me something to do. I'm not entirely sure what the point of it was, but maybe the point was just "content" and that's fine. The ending was fine. Kind of surprised they didn't do anything with the special forces clones in terms of any reveals or new info on them.
It honestly feels like everyone is going out of their way to make Emperor palpatine's cloning matter. Fuck you JJ
I was very happy they didn't bring Tech back as one of the commando clones at the end. Wouldn't have made any sense if they did. I was surprised Rex wasn't involved at all in the finale, though. Not really a nostalgia thing. Just seemed like he probably should have been there to free all those clones.
Never realized how bad the peripherals in those Mando helmets were. No wonder he’s always getting the crap beat out of him.
just sat down in our seats for phantom menace. have my 4 year old with me, he wanted to dress up as darth vader and had me dress as obi-wan. this is the best day of my life
enjoyed Tales of the Empire. Spoiler think it added something to Ahsoka and provided closure for Barriss.
seeing darth maul again on the big screen people can hate this movie but i love it. such a cool experience to have with the little guy.
I wonder if they sell the shoto blades for Ahsoka/Yoda. When my kid built his at Savvi’s he asked for the white Ahsoka crystal but they said you had to buy them special from the store. He of course then pivoted and went Sith.
my three year old son just came back from Disney a huge star wars fan. obsessed with his new X-Wing helmet and has been watching Clone Wars non-stop. I spent most of my time today answering “Who’s that guy Dad?” and “Is he a good guy?”
That rules. Going through Clone Wars, Rebels, Mando, Ahsoka is some of our favorite memories. Was he able to do any of Rise/Falcon/Star Tours?
yea he loves rides so we did them all. we did Falcon three times and he just wanted to be the gunner every time.
so corny but honestly my favorite part was when he had his helmet on walking around the park and Kylo Ren was walking by interrogating people and he ran and hid his helmet in the stroller because he didn’t want Kylo to know he was a “good guy”.
We’ve done gunner once and pilot twice. It always leads to a fight. “DAD!!! Fly up fly up fly up!!!!!!!!” “You are literally slamming us into that mountain right now….” That’s what makes all the money and headaches involved with Disney worth while. As a 7 yr old everything Galaxy’s Edge was amazing. This year as a 10 yr old he was ‘too cool’ for a lot of it. Met Chewy, R2D2, Rey, Kylo….no reactions. But then, Mando showed up, his face lit up like a Xmas tree.
Sure I posted it in here but the interaction with Chewy was amazing (a bit I’m sure they do dozens of times a day). Took a picture with the kid, then started making crazy Chewy noises and pointing at me. Ran to Rey and made more weird Chewy noises while pointing at me. She said “Chewy, that’s just a big human, the First Order didn’t shave a Wookie to scare you.”
Just watched the Morgan Elsbeth arc. Thumbs down. That was a waste of time. Spoiler It was basically all stuff we already knew about her. We know she's a Nightsister so she somehow survived Dathomir. Ok, that didn't really need a whole episode. That 2nd EP was just filler. Didn't do anything for her story that couldn't have been done in a few lines of dialogue somewhere. 3rd EP, yeah, we know she was a mean magistrate on a world that was being ravaged for resources. We learned all that in Mandalorian. I was hoping to see how and why she has such a close relationship with Thrawn that she was willing to do all that she did in Ahsoka. This didn't help with any of that.
Spoiler Because he plucked her out of obscurity in the empire ? He gave her power and position/status.
Best two trips to Disney were when my youngest two were late teens and knew more about Star Wars canon than I did
this only feeds into my theory of taking the boys when they are 10 and 12 when I hopefully have more money and they will actually remember/enjoy it
hopefully they build out Galaxy’s Edge a bit too. right now it’s a half of a day and you’ve done mostly everything.
If people would just take off their hats and shit rise of the resistance wouldn’t be down half the day
Like, maybe the First Order cast members that do such a good job of giving people shit when lining everyone up, maybe they could give some extra shit to people that look like they've got loose items. And maybe the Resistance folks loading you into the escape speeder could say it a few times, not just once
When we went to DW we had a LL for 11 AM but couldn’t use it till 7 PM cause it kept breaking down. This year at DL we got on there at 9 AM to be safe. Nothing beats seeing the Storm Troopers and AT-ATs for the first time. Also love the cast members being pricks, I was taking pictures and a trooper gets in my face “Idiot! Quit documenting your demise and move into the holding cell or we’ll move you ourselves!”
It doesnt ruin the movie for me but the dialogue between Anakin and Padme is so painful in Revenge of the Sith
I don't really care enough about Elsbeth to watch those three eps. I watched the three Barriss ones. They're fine, but if they were going in that direction I think it needed more than 45 minutes over 3 short episodes. They don't really make sense to me given where her story left off in the show. Just think if you're going to tell that story, you need to go back to pre-season 5 finale to set up more of her character and motivations leading up to that moment and the stuff the new stuff goes into.
Ok. I guess I just didn't need anything about her then. Because what we got didn't really give us anything we didn't know already
